Episode IV September 2nd, 2019 Brooklyn, New York
— Brutalism Following the end of the expensive new intro video, “Die Slow” continued to play and we were treated to a view of the audience in Brooklyn, New York. You bet your sweet bippy that they were hot. Like the crowd was loud, not everyone was attractive because…wrestling crowds. The shot fell on the ring where the broadcast duo of Matt Mears and Ben Petrie, who had left the safety of their broadcast booth, were standing. The more contemptible of the two, Petrie announced that tonight in Brooklyn was a special night because we would see two title matches on the same show for the first time since the Event Horizon Finals.
Mears took over and said that he and Petrie were in the ring to announce OATH’s next pay-per-view offering would take place on September 30th in Atlanta, Georgia. Petrie said that in “Hotlanta” (what a loser) OATH would present Brutalism, where the main event would see “The Pride of Nova Scotia” Declan Black challenge the winner of tonight’s main event for the World Championship.
Mears said that by the end of tonight’s event in Brooklyn, that would not be the only match announced for Brutalism on September 30th. Intriguing!
— Casey Holliday vs. Veronica Taylor First match of the evening was preempted with a little history lesson. We cut to the first episode of Conviction on August 12th where Taylor was able to soundly defeat Holliday in the latter’s debut. Following the bell, Taylor mounted Holliday and repeatedly punched her in the face. Taylor grabbed Holliday by the hair and screamed in her face, “I’m The First Lady. You don’t belong here!”. Taylor treated Holliday to a parting shot to the face. Cut to last week when Taylor tried to rip off Salvador Blanco’s mask after Taylor defeated him and Holliday came to the luchador’s aid. Taylor then vowed on Twitter to take care of Holliday once and for all. What a villain!
The match began and Taylor tried to pull Holliday in for the Exed Out (Roll Of The Dice) early but Holliday reversed it and put Taylor down with a Steamboat-esque arm drag. Taylor powdered to the outside but Holliday invaded that safe space with a baseball slide to Taylor’s face.
When both were back in the ring, Holliday sent a message to Taylor by tossing her all over the ring with a variety of suplexes and then punctuated with a jumping double foot stomp to Taylor’s left leg. As Taylor let out in pain, the camera caught a glimpse of a woman in her 50s aggressively making her way to the front row in the audience.
Holliday went for a springboard tornado DDT but Taylor held Holliday up and dumped her over the top rope. Taylor then tried to bring the pain on the outside but stopped dead in her tracks when she spotted the woman in the crowd. Taylor yelled “Stay out of this!” but that momentary distraction gave Holliday the chance to put Taylor face first into the barricade with a drop toe hold.
With a sense of urgency, Holliday slid Taylor back in the ring and went for the Stock Plunge (Corkscrew Neckbreaker) but as she went for it, the woman in the audience had hopped over the barricade and took hold of Holliday’s leg! The referee admonished the woman and that gave Taylor the opening to pull Holliday in to an eye poke and then Exed Out (Roll Of The Dice)! Taylor covered and once again got the victory over Holliday.
Winner: Veronica Taylor
Taylor’s music hit and the referee held her arm up. The woman that was on the outside gingerly made her way into the ring and shoved the referee out of the way. The older woman took Taylor’s arm and raised it but as soon as Taylor noticed her, she pulled away. Taylor yelled something at the older woman and then left the ring, furious.
— Combo XL Earlier today, outside the arena. Catriona MacKenzie was shown with her cellphone to her ear. Yeah, she was talking to someone. The shot widened, significantly, to show a gaggle of fans behind a barricade with a very heavy set gentleman standing on the other side, his back to the crowd. MacKenzie was caught mid-conversation saying that a win over a “false God” like Levi Silvera would likely put her in contention for the Intrepid Championship. The large man was staring at her, his arms crossed, and a big smile plastered on his face. MacKenzie looked quite annoyed and perhaps, a little creeped out.
At that moment OATH Interviewer May O’Neil walked into frame and MacKenzie ended her phone call. O’Neil asked for a moment with MacKenzie and MacKenzie responded by saying that she had already given her thoughts on Silvera.
“That’s why I am here,” O’Neil said “You’re not facing Levi Silvera tonight. He will not be involved in the event tonight in Brooklyn but we have found you a replacement opponent.”
MacKenzie was not pleased. She demanded to know who. That’s when O’Neil’s eyes shifted over to the heavy set man. The man lumbered over and stood beside MacKenzie, looking pleased.
“This is Combo XL. Your opponent for tonight.” O’Neil said.
Combo XL bent down to meet MacKenzie’s eyeline and simply said, “Looking forward to it”. Combo then walked out of frame, leaving MacKenzie bewildered.
— Catriona MacKenzie vs. Combo XL It was pretty clear from the get go that MacKenzie was not pleased with this match up. She had been preparing for a week to face a different opponent and now she was faced with something entirely different. Ben Petrie said that Combo XL was a Brooklyn resident and a fixture on the New York indy scene. Matt Mears that Combo was known for his size, weighing in at nearly 400lbs. Mears said that Combo was also known as being someone who was nearly impossible to take down.
MacKenzie exploded off of the opening bell with a bicycle super kick that sent the lumbering giant staggering back but didn’t knock him down. Combo just laughed and advanced on MacKenzie so she hit him with a second bicycle superkick and he just absorbed it.
MacKenzie was in trouble.
Combo went for a tie up but MacKenzie slipped through and hit him with a hook kick to the back of the head. Combo staggered forward but caught himself on the top rope. MacKenzie charged in again and went for a double leg takedown but Combo stood firm and then he put MacKenzie onto the mat with a double sledge to the back.
The audience in Brooklyn was not behind Combo. Mears explained that although Combo lives in Brooklyn, that he hates New York and is a proud Boston native. Mears went further, saying that Combo never missed an opportunity to disparage Brooklyn.
Combo put one foot on MacKenzie’s chest in an attempt to arrogantly pin the Glaswegian but MacKenzie rolled out onto the apron. Combo looked to bring her in the hard way but MacKenzie caught him with a high kick to the head and then hit a springboard meteora into the ring, taking Combo down! Brooklyn popped for this but Combo got back up quickly.
Combo looked furious but MacKenzie didn’t give a shit, she hit him with a third bicycle superkick that sent him over the top rope to the floor. Combo landed with a thud, right on the crown of his head and the referee started a count. MacKenzie played the crowd as the referee reached the twenty count. Combo was out cold.
Winner: Catriona MacKenzie
Following the match, MacKenzie seemed a little taken aback by the positive response from the crowd. MacKenzie took hold of a microphone and announced that this was not the competition that she was looking for. MacKenzie said that she wants another opportunity at the Intrepid Title and that she does not care who she has to face to earn it. Brooklyn cheered for this and MacKenzie couldn’t help but smile.
— Don’t Talk to Me or My Daughter Ever Again In the backstage area Veronica Taylor was shown, not celebrating her victory but yelling at the middle age woman who helped her.
“I am the First Lady of OATH. I don’t need the Old Lady of Who-Gives-A-Shit to help me? Alright?” Taylor said.
The older woman looked defeated, she explained that she just wanted to help. She wanted to be there for Taylor in a way that she hadn’t been in the past.
Taylor immediately snapped back and said, “If you want to be in my life mother then you will do things my way.”
The older woman smiled and nodded her head, just happy to be here.
— Carlos Cruz vs. Cassidy Colt The next match saw The Celestial Warrior’s Carlos Cruz take on newcomer Cassidy Colt. Cruz had something to prove as he had not scored a victory since signing with OATH.
Well Cruz proceeded to kick the shit out of Colt.
Following a Dive Super Kick, Cruz stomped the fuck out of Colt on the mat. Colt tried to rally back but Cruz hit him with a spinning mule kick the mid-section and then put Colt’s face into the mat with Amen (Scissors Kick). This probably would have but Colt away but Cruz had something to prove.
Cruz afforded Colt the opportunity to get up and when Colt when for a strike, Cruz evaded it and hit The Ultimate Sacrifice (Springboard Cutter). Cruz then climbed to the top rope and hit The Celestial Dive (Five Star Frog Splash) for the pinfall and the victory.
Winner: Carlos Cruz
— For The Children
In the backstage area OATH Interviewer May O’Neil was shown standing in the interview area. What a weird place for her to be. She announced that her guest was “The Best” Jake Archer, which surprisingly got a big ol’ pop from Brooklyn.
Archer walked into frame and O’Neil asked him about his match with Gates. Archer said that the OATH fans were smarter than fans in any other company that he’s wrestled for. Archer acknowledged that he has his detractors but many don’t know that his bravado and arrogance is something he uses to help him win.
Archer explained that he has children at home and he wants to be the very best (best, best, best) because he wants to give them a better life and give them a father to be proud of. Archer said that he loves children, he wants to inspire children all over the world because his love extends far beyond just his own progeny. He wants to love all of the children in the world.
…
The Best realized what he had said and instead of back peddling he just explained that he was not like Agustin Gates. Archer wants to inspire children and nothing more. Archer said that tonight he would defeat Gates and that he would do it for the children. Like Wu Tang.
— Agustin Gates vs. Jake Archer
Surprisingly, Gates came to the ring with a more subdued entrance and didn’t have any of his brothers with him. Brooklyn still booed him like he caused 9/11 but Gates didn’t seem to care. Because he has God’s love or whatever.
Archer made his entrance and got a big ol’ pop. Archer hit the ring and before the bell could sound Gates jumped him. Brooklyn was not pleased. The referee called for the bell and Gates kept Archer grounded with some big stomps.
Gates stomped around the ring like he was hot shit but Archer wasn’t having it. Archer charged him and went for a shoulder block into the corner but Gates sidestepped it and sent Archer head first into the middle turnbuckle. Archer staggered back like a wicked drunk and got blasted with Dethroned (Discus Clothesline). Gates covered but only got a two count. The Majestic One got Archer up and looked to apply the The Great Divide (Dragon Sleeper) but Archer backflipped and landed behind Gates, only to hit the Surprise! (Frontflip Cutter rolled back into a Dragon Sleeper). Archer had Gates locked in middle of the ring for a few moments but Gates was able to jump and hit a knee to Archer’s face to break the hold.
Archer rolled out of the ring and then rolled under it, to put some space between himself and The Best. Archer refused to exit the ring, not buying into Gates’ bullshit. That’s when Carlos Cruz sauntered down the ramp. Cruz got to the bottom of the ramp and Archer was already on it, Archer hit a dive to the outside, taking Cruz down.
While Archer was recovering, Gates came out from under the ring. Archer turned around just in time for Gates to hit him with Adieu (Uranage). Instead of trying to get Archer back in the ring, Gates got back in the ring alone and insisted that the referee start a twenty count. The referee had no choice but to comply.
Around a count of fourteen, Archer got up but he was rocked. An instant replay showed that Archer’s head took the brunt of the impact from the Adieu. At a count of seventeen, Archer had his hands on the apron but Cruz (who was still down) took hold of Archer’s boot and the referee couldn’t see it. Archer turned and spit in Cruz’s face, then stomped on his head. Archer was able to get into the ring and break the count.
Unfortunately for Archer, as soon as he was back in the ring Gates was on top of him. Gates hit a running punt to Archer’s head. Gates got the The Best up and shot him into the ropes. Gates then tried to hit The Majestic Knee (Busaiku Knee) but Archer avoided it and hit Gates with The Touch! (Sweet Chin Music set up into a Spinning Backfist).
Archer then positioned Gates and hit THE BEST (Curb Stomp). Cruz was still down on the outside as Archer covered and got the three count.
Winner: Jake Archer
The bell seemed to wake Cruz up because as Archer celebrated, Cruz slipped back into the ring and hit Archer with The Ultimate Sacrifice (Springboard Cutter). Cruz and Gates then put the boots to Archer before getting him up to his feet.
Gates slapped Archer in the face a half dozen times before he and Cruz lifted Archer up into a double Razor’s Edge and then proceeded to toss Archer over the top rope. Archer landed with a disgusting thud, the back of his head once again taking the brunt of the impact. The Celestial Warriors stood tall in the ring and Archer laid unconscious on the outside of the ring.

SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2019 – ATLANTA, GEORGIA
— The Buddy System As the crowd began to get somewhat restless, anticipating the next moment on Conviction to talk about, Arabic music began to blare over the speakers. The stage lit up with a red carpet like effect while the tron played a video depicting the viewer slowly moving along the map of a trading route. Belly dancers started to come out of the back and walk to the ring, one by one swaying their hips, putting all those who watched – men and female into a trance.
They were then followed by Chinese men and women carrying silk as well as porcelain figures, Persians carrying spices such as saffron, along with representatives of other Asian-Pacific countries carrying goods from their countries that use to be of high trade value once upon a time.
Once they got to ring side, out came Bhangra dancers to liven the crowd and the atmosphere in preparation for what was to come next. Suddenly, emerging from the back was the SILKY Smooth One, Sean Isaac Leonard Kennedy and of course, he was riding a camel. The tron became filled with the words “SILKs Road” as SILK headed towards the ring, decked out for the occasion in Fendi as usual from head to toe as his coordination of purple, white and black was flawless.
The flashes of cameras and camera phones reflected off of his three round framed glasses as a smirk crept along his face confidently. SILK rode the camel to the ring as fans cheered and women fawned over him. Once at the ring apron, SILK managed to get the camel to move sideways so he could step off and right onto the apron, which he did. SILK in a seductive manner entered through the ropes, and then started spinning in the middle of the ring until he got to the ring’s corner. SILK climbed the turnbuckle and outstretched his arms to even more camera flashes and an even louder pop as one of this industry’s biggest stars had arrived.
Once the commotion and buzz settled, the camera focused back in on SILK who stood in the middle of the ring which was lined with a purple carpet. He stood in front of two oversized, bean bag like chairs, as a large television screen hung above them. SILK had a mic in hand as the fans anticipated just what he had to say and overall, just what was going on.
“Ya just had to know ya boi was gon’ show up, after all, it’s my OATH to please all y’all fans and make the females in the crowd wanna leave their man, so here I am and ya know that’s the plan.” SILK said.
Not only can you make out SILK winking through his glasses at a female in the front row, you can almost sense it too before it even happened.
“I know what y’all are thinkin’ – why now? why tonight?” SILK said.
SILK’s still had that smirk with arrogance brimming from it plastered on his face that’s been there since he strolled out on a camel.
“Well, we’ll get to that in a moment but first, I want y’all to know that I’ve watched a misogynistic fool drive down OATH’s stock prices, I’ve watched some dude with security and confidence issues rise to the top here, while also watchin’ some dude named Lobos almost be demoted to a lifetime jobber everywhere he goes cause he can’t keep his mouth shut – all that comes to a hault startin’ tonight.”
SILK turned towards the ramp and waved his hand, signaling something or someone to come out.
“Bring it out boys!”
From the back came four more people dressed for the occasion, hauling something under a large purple blanket. They got it down to the ring and even though it was huge, they got it up onto the apron, over the ropes, though they all looked to be struggling because of the awkward shape of this sizeable surprise. They place it by SILK as it stands upwards, almost as tall as him but much wider.
“Drumroll please…”
The drummers in the Bhangra crew began drumming as SILK pulled off the blanket to reveal a Venti sized and shaped coffee cup. Instead of the Starbucks logo though, the famous Thot Chocolate logo is where it would be. Just then, the cup fell apart to reveal SILK’s partner and fellow Double Tag Champion in Southside and Elysium Pro, Cartier. The crowd erupted.
“Thot Chocolate has arrived…but wait there’s more…” SILK said, turning his eyes to the stage.
The attention of the fans went back to the entrance way as OATH Interviewer May O’Neil appeared on the stage, microphone in hand.
“With the signing of Thot Chocolate, OATH executives have decided that we have enough tag teams to announce the OATH Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championships! The titles will be decided at Brutalism in a four team Ultimate Endurance Match!” O’Neil said.
The tron lit up with an image of tandem gold championship title belts, emblazoned with the OATH logo. At that very moment, Maximum Dynamite came out onto the stage and started marching down the ramp. SILK and Cartier both looked ready to fight but a large pop from the fans caused Max D and Thot Chocolate to look to the ramp.
The Inevitable came out onto the stage but Midnight Special was right behind them! The Inevitable were ready and they turned to face their opponents. The two teams looked ready to brawl but a referee appeared and stood between the two teams. Another referee entered the ring and demanded that Thot Chocolate vacate the squared circle. It was time for the tag team match and it would not start before the officials made it so.
— The Inevitable vs. Midnight Special After all of the animals and bullshit was cleared from the ring area, The Inevitable and Midnight Special were in the ring. Thot Chocolate and Maximum Dynamite tried to stay at ringside but the referees forced both teams up the ramp. The four wrestlers trash talked all the way to the back but once they were gone it was time for the match in the ring.
Leah and Josh Cherry started the match off quickly. Leah shot in with a forearm which rocked Cherry, when she went for another one Cherry took her over with an arm drag. Leah shot in again and Cherry took her over with another arm drag. Cherry wagged a scolding finger in Leah’s face but Leah grabbed Cherry’s hand and bit his finger.
Cherry shoved Leah off and when Leah rushed him, Cherry sent her into the Midnight Special corner where Harvey Carbine hit Leah with an elbow to the head. Cherry tagged in Carbine and together they hit Leah with a drop toe hold from Carbine into a facebreaker from Cherry. Carbine covered but Leah kicked out.
Stephanie Matsuda was seething on the apron as Carbine kept Leah down with a reverse chin lock. Carbine made Leah face Matsuda, to show Leah how far away from the tag she was. Leah fought up and took Carbine over with a snapmare but when Leah went for the tag, Carbine hit Leah with a lariat to the back of the head that sent Leah over the top rope to the outside.
With Leah on the outside, Carbine tried to goad Matsuda into entering the ring with the referee intervening. Meanwhile on the outside, Cherry went after Leah! Cherry rushed Leah but Leah sent Cherry face first into the barricade. Matsuda noticed this and hit Carbine with a high kick to the face. Matsuda then climbed to the top rope and hit a moonsault to the outside, taking Cherry down.
On the outside, Matsuda and Leah hit Cherry with Double Yahtzee (Stereo Superkicks). But Carbine exited the ring and hit The Inevitable with a double clothesline. Carbine then grabbed Leah and hit her with Chimera (German suplex followed into a dragon suplex and finished with an X–Plex). Matsuda recovered and hit Carbine with Last Surprise (Sling Blade) on the outside. Cherry was then back to his feet and he hit Matsuda with Cherry’s Jubilee (Jump Stalling Sidekick) but Cherry was still rocked from the earlier moonsault.
All four competitors were down on the outside when Maximum Dynamite reappeared and ran down the ring. Dynamite attacked Cherry and Maximum attacked Matsuda. The referee had no choice but to throw the match out.
Winner: Draw
Maximum Dynamite continued their attack by grabbing Leah and they hit her with Torpedo Pile Driver (Elijah has the opponent in a piledriver position, and Steven jumps from the top rope to send the opponent crashing down.) They then immediately went after Carbine and hit him with TNT (Diving European Uppercut and Spinebuste; Eli does the spinebuster, Steven hits the uppercut.).
Maximum Dynamite then went to go after Cherry and Matsuda but Thot Chocolate appeared at the top of the ramp and Maximum Dynamite decided that they had made their point. The brothers exited through the crowd, leaving Thot Chocolate to stand at the top of the ramp to survey the damage. They looked…amused.
— All Talk Backstage OATH Intrepid Champion Samantha Hamilton was making her way to the curtain when Agustin Gates and Carlos Cruz passed by her. For those not in the know, Gates has been talking mad shit about Hamilton and women wrestlers in general as of late on Twitter. Hamilton and Gates exchanged a glare but Gates just smirked and carried on. Apparently trying to start some shit in person after a loss was not his game. Hamilton watched Gates and his brother carry on, knowing better than to turn her back on the Celestial Warriors.
— Intrepid Championship: Nina Stokes vs. Samantha Hamilton © It was time for our first of two title matches as red hot Nina Stokes came to the ring, ready to challenge Samantha Hamilton for the Intrepid Championship. We saw a video of last week where Stokes attacked Hamilton backstage with a steel chair. Stokes went to work on Hamilton’s arm and left the champion laying.
This match started with Stokes going right for Hamilton’s arm and Stokes got it, but not in the way she wanted. Hamilton turned Stokes inside out with a lariat that got a huge pop from Brooklyn. Hamilton then went to work on Stokes with some big strikes and eventually hit Stokes with The Fall Of Man (Old School Top Rope Jump) for a near fall.
Hamilton said in the days leading up to this match that her arm was 100% but when she went for • Wrath Of The Titans (Pedigree), Stokes fought out of it and took Hamilton down with an arm bar, targeting that bad arm. That attack made it very apparent that Hamilton’s arm was not in tip top form because she scrambled to get out of the hold like her life depended on it.
Stokes caught Hamilton with some Wristlock Face Kicks and then took the champion down with another flying armbar. Luckily for the champion, she was close enough to the ropes to grab them. Hamilton tried to rally back but Stokes caught Hamilton with A Slice of Grace (Throat Punch) and then another arm bar. This one lasted much longer.
Hamilton was able to get her feet on the ropes but the damage had been done. Hamilton got back to her feet but her arm was hanging by her side, pretty much useless. Stokes baited Hamilton with a shoot in and then hit the champion with a shoot kick into knee smash. Stokes then dropped a series of jumping knees onto the champion’s arm, causing Hamilton to let out in pain. Stokes got the champion up but Hamilton came back to life and went for a lariat but Stokes evaded it and locked in the Quietus Redux (Crossface Chickenwing). Hamilton, with her arm absolutely fucked, looked ready to submit but in a final show of strength Hamilton broke the hold, spun out and nailed Stokes with a lightning quick Atlas Shrugged (Widow’s Peak). Hamilton covered and got a three count.
Winner: Still Intrepid Champion, Samantha Hamilton
After being handed the title, Hamilton immediately collapsed. As the referee checked on the champion, Stokes was back up and she grabbed Hamilton (like a villain). Stokes locked Hamilton in Quietus Redux (Crossface Chickenwing) again. The referee tried to break the hold but to no avail. Hamilton tapped out but Stokes would not release the hold. Eventually Hamilton passed out and Stokes dropped the champion’s unconscious body to the mat before leaving in a huff.
— You Fucked Up Following a commercial break Nina Stokes was shown backstage fuming. May O’Neil approached with a gaggle of referees and told Stokes that the OATH executives had decided that because of Stokes’ actions after the match, Stokes was banned from Conviction next week. Stokes spit in O’Neil’s face and walked off. Disgusting.
— Last Man Standing: Miguel Villalobos vs. TERROR Right out of the gate, as soon as the bell rings TERROR immediately dropkicked Villalobos in the knee. TERROR went to work with vicious stomps on Villalobos’ knee, causing the Wolf to retreat under the ropes out onto the apron. TERROR rushed him but Villalobos’ low bridged the top rope and both spilled to the outside.
Outside the ring is where the fun got started. TERROR sent Villalobos knee first into the steel steps. TERROR pulled a table out from under the ring and lifted it up but Villalobos stepped off of the steel steps and a dropkick sent the table into TERROR’s face.
Villalobos set up the table and then went to jump off of the apron in an attempt to put TERROR through the table but TERROR cut out Villalobos’ and Villalobos’ knee was driven into the apron. TERROR went for Paradigm Shift (Vertical suplex lifted and dropped into a double knee backbreaker) but Villalobos countered and took TERROR off of the apron with Ay Dios Mio (Chokebomb) through the table.
Both men were down and the referee started the ten count. Villalobos got back to his feet but his rage took over and he unleashed on TERROR with stomps and kicks. Villalobos went under the ring and withdrew a coil of barbed wire! Villalobos put a knee into the small of TERROR’s back and tried to use the barbed wire as a garrote!
“He’s going to try and fucking murder him!” Matt Mears exclaimed.
TERROR got one hand up but Villalobos still yanked back. The barbed wire dug into TERROR’s hand but he knew that his life was at stake so he had no choice. TERROR was able to take hold of a shard of wood from the table. TERROR swung back wildly and drove the shard into Villalobos’ shoulder and then took Villalobos over with a snapmare! Villalobos pilled the wooden shard out of his shoulder and tried to rally but TERROR blasted him with Out of the Shadows (Superkick). TERROR then searched under the ring and pulled out a ladder, which popped the audience in Brooklyn. Instead of setting up the ladder, TERROR smashed Villalobos in the back with it a dozen times and then dropped it on top of him.
With a sadistic smirk on his face TERROR trapped the ladder between himself and applied an STF to Villalobos. The Wolf King had nowhere to go, no rope breaks, nothing to help him free himself. His shoulder bled out and TERROR wrenched back with all his might. Villalobos began tapping but it didn’t matter. TERROR wrenched back until Villalobos’ body went limp. The Wolf King had passed out. The referee applied the ten count and declared TERROR the winner.
Winner: TERROR
— Living Large The scene showed a skybox in the arena with a lavish spread of food and beverages. There seated in glorious comfort was “The Pride of Nova Scotia” Declan Black. Black had a flute of champagne in hand.
“I would say that I am excited to watch the main event in comfort like only I can afford, but I’m not. This is more of a formality really. I don’t care who wins, I just want this match to be over because that means that the next OATH World Title match is mine.”
Black ended by saying that the best case scenario would be that both men would kill each other but Black said that he was not that lucky.
— World Championship: Erik Holland vs. Finn Whelan © Unlike any other match on the card, this one had a traditional championship introduction. Whelan stood tall with his championship before handing it over. Holland on the other hand paced back and forth like a caged animal, starring a hole through the champion.
Once the bell rang it was Whelan who darted forward, catching Holland off guard! Whelan blasted Holland with a knee to the face that rocked the challenger. After some swift kicks to Holland’s face, Whelan applied a quick arm wrench and then jumped over the top rope to the floor, still maintaining wrist control! Holland’s arm was jerked over the top rope, causing the challenger to let out in pain.
The champion was quickly back into the ring and he grabbed Holland’s arm, applying The Underdog (Kimura Lock). Holland was in the hold for only a few moments before he powered his way to the ropes to cause the break. The referee forced separation but Whelan charged back in on Holland only to get dropped with a uranage.
This was when things turned. Holland, having survived the early onslaught from Whelan was now ready to impose his will on the champion. Whelan tried to recover quickly and charge Holland again but this time Holland caught Whelan with Planet Terror (Black Hole Slam). Driven into the mat with incredible force, Whelan was rocked. Holland let out a primal roar and brought Whelan out onto the apron and set him up for the Toxic Avenger (Death Valley Driver) but Whelan slipped out and took Holland off the apron to the floor with a hip toss. On the outside Whelan applied a cross arm breaker but the referee started a twenty count. Whelan held on as long as he could and then released the hold and slid back into the ring.
At a count of eighteen Holland sat up like some kind of movie monster. Holland, favoring his arm, slowly turned his attention to the champion in the ring with a look of pure hatred. Holland shot up with incredible speed and slid into the ring. Whelan went for a running clothesline but Holland evaded it and cracked the champion with Plan 9 from Outer Space (Superman Punch). Holland immediately got Whelan up and drove him into the mat with Chopping Mall (Snap Powerbomb).
The Most Dangerous did not go for a pin, he wanted to make sure that when he went for a pin that it was going to be absolute. Holland mounted Whelan and laid into him with a mess of punches, each more vile an impactful than the last. Holland ripped Whelan up to his feet and went for Calamity Trigger (Running Powerslam) but Whelan slipped off of Holland’s shoulder and shoved him from behind, sending Holland face first into the top turnbuckle.
Didn’t do much.
Holland just ate the shot to his head, turned and turned Whelan inside out with a bicycle kick. Holland mounted Whelan again and punched the living shit out of Whelan’s face. Whelan’s mouth was busted open and a large gash appeared over his eye. Holland then did a wind up and went for a final clubbing blow but Whelan reversed it into The Underdog (Kimura)! Holland let out in pain but started to stand up!
Whelan held the hold as long as he could but Holland used his otherworldly strength to throw Whelan over head with a toss. Whelan recovered quickly and when Holland shot in on him Whelan dropped Holland with Fenian Rising (Spinning Sit-Out Sleeper Slam). Not satisfied, Whelan got Holland up and hit him with Revelation 6:4 (The Bitter End). Whelan covered and got the three count.
Winner: Still World Champion, Finn Whelan
The Seattle Saint was handed his championship but he could not stand up. His face was a bloody mess and he looked to be in a complete daze as he sat with his back to Holland. The copywrite logo appeared on the screen just as Holland sat up, his eyes fixed on Whelan.
