Episode XVI January 13th, 2020 Tijuana, Mexico

Singles Match Allister Meowly vs. Vitor Mata Mata was perplexed by the feline tendencies of Meowly and that gave Meowly the edge. Mata could never get any serious offense strung together and eventually fell to Meowly’s Cat’s Cradle DDT (Hammerlock Cradle DDT). Winner: Allister Meowly Singles Match Abnus Adebayo vs. Zac Geary A2 and Ursa Major took the fight to one another. The two exchanged strikes early on and A2 got the upper hand. Following a Tree of Woe Corner Hanging Double Stomp from A2, Geary was nearly pinned. Geary turned the tide with a single arm DDT and then locked in the Grind Your Gears (Arm Trap Crossface) and A2 had no choice but to submit. Winner: Zac Geary Singles Match Alex Pierce vs. Keegan Ryan The last contest on the kickoff show started outside the ring with the two brawling back and forth. Ryan took control after shooting Pierce into the ring steps. Once in the ring, the bell rang and Ryan took the fight to Pierce, nearly defeating him after a Mule Kick to Seated Opponent. Pierce fought back and put Ryan down with Glimmering Warlock (Feint shining wizard transitioned into a reverse roundhouse). As Pierce readied Ryan for Chaosbringer (Shouten), Wendy Wynne marched to the ring. With the referee distracted, “The Outlaw” Josie Wales came through the crowd, entered the ring and hit Pierce with Rio Lobo Driver (Quackendriver 3). Wales slipped out of the ring and Ryan took advantage, putting Pierce down with Deadman’s Hand (Curbstomp). Ryan covered and got the three count. Winner: Keegan Ryan

Dusk. The scene was that of a public park in Tijuana, Mexico. A thin fog covered the ground as a trio made their way through. The camera pulls back to show that it was Ben Macbeth, Josh Cherry, and Harvey Carbine. EMBLEM.
CHERRY: What a spooky place to meet. These guys are so lame. MACBETH: As that may be, they’re ruthless Joshua. Keep your wits about you. CARBINE: I welcome it. Let ‘em try to get the drop on me. A sing-song whistle caught their attention and in the distance we saw four shapes. Two of moderate size, one the hourglass figure of a woman, and the fourth was a giant. EMBLEM cautiously made their way over to see the four members of Enigma Protocol. Adrestia Nyx had a baseball bat pointed into the ground, her hands resting on top. Miguel Villalobos began pacing back and forth like a caged animal and Monstruo stood sentry behind the mouthpiece TERROR. TERROR: Glad you could make it. Miguel was convinced that you wouldn’t come.
Miguel snarled in the background.
TERROR: I too had my doubts, given that there are four…practically five of us. And only three of you.
MACBETH: The numbers do not matter. What matters to us is that you release Godwin.
NYX: Godwin? Combo? All terrible names. He’s Monstruo now and he forever will be.
TERROR: Ms. Nyx is correct, this crusade that you three are on…it’s a fool’s errand. We saw the wasted potential in Monstruo and we have helped him realize it. You should be happy for him.
VILLALOBOS: Deberías dejar ir.
TERROR: Miguel is right. You should let go.
Cherry looked as if he was going to charge the quartet but Macbeth kept him at bay with a hand on his shoulder.
TERROR: But you won’t, will you? So I suppose that we should at least give you an opportunity to win your friend back. You see, he listened to my gospel during our sessions over several weeks. He came to accept my truth and accepted his place in balancing the scales of OATH. Only I can release him.
CARBINE: Then how ‘bout you and me go one on one. I break your fuckin’ face and make you release him. How ‘bout that hoss?
TERROR flashed Carbine an unimpressed glance.
TERROR: Yeah. No. If we are going to do this, I want all of us involved. I want Enigma Protocol to benefit and the way that we do that is by showing OATH what our collective force is capable of.
A beat.
TERROR: At Where Eagles Dare, let us show you what Enigma Protocol has evolved in to. An eight person tag team match and for kicks…let’s make it elimination style. Should you eliminate all of us then perhaps I will consider releasing dear Monstruo.
CHERRY: Why wait let’s do this right here, right now you fucking pigeon.
TERROR sighed.
TERROR: No. Idiot. We want it to be fair. A level playing field. There are only three of you. It would be no demonstration at all if we beat you 4-to-3. You have two weeks to find yourselves a fourth partner. Until then, let us be at a truce. No more attacks. No more violence. Let us all be at our physical best come Where Eagles Dare.
Macbeth nodded.
MACBETH: It is done. We will see the four of you in Boston. We will see the four of you lose.
TERROR: Haha. I love that you believe that. It will make your demise all the more enjoyable.
The shot pulls back, showing EMBLEM and Enigma Protocol standing in the fog before the scene cut to blackness.

Following the elaborate, impressive, and downright mind-blowing OATH Conviction opening hoopla we got a view of the arena in Tijuana, Mexico. Yeah, the fans were losing their shit and why the hell not. OATH was in the house. Cut to ringside with the voices of OATH, “Bad Mood” Ben Petrie and Matt Mears. Petrie was looking as surly as ever while Mears was…not. MEARS: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Episode Sixteen of OATH Conviction. Benjamin, what do you make of what took place between EMBLEM and Enigma Protocol earlier tonight.
PETRIE: I think EMBLEM need to give up the fucking ghost. Their pal is gone to a better place with Enigma Protocol. EMBLEM doesn’t stand a chance against the combined powers of those four.
MEARS: I suppose we will find out at Where Eagles Dare, should EMBLEM find a fourth for their team.
PETRIE: They won’t.
MEARS: But tonight we have a massive main event as Nina Stokes finally gets another opportunity to defeat Declan Black but this time Black’s World Championship is on the line!
PETRIE: Just because Stokes was able to pin Black in a tag match last week doesn’t mean she can beat him tonight. He’s been the World Champion since September. He isn’t going to lose it tonight.
MEARS: Many fans disagree. The talk online is that tonight is Stokes’ night. With Clan Black facing Badd Breed earlier in the evening in a Tornado Tag Team Match, they may not be fit to accompany Black to the ring later.
PETRIE: He doesn’t need Clan Black at ringside. He is the World Champion. He hasn’t been beaten 1-on-1 in months. Tonight “The Pride of Nova Scotia” shows everyone why he is the top guy here in OATH.
MEARS: Either way I am very much looking forward to the main event so let us begin with our opening contest!

Singles Match Artemis vs. Selene Nunez
These two fought last week on Episode Fifteen and their match went to a double count out, so OATH officials decided to let them go at it again on the main show. MEARS: These two dazzled the crowd on The Kickoff last week, I’m looking forward to seeing what these newcomers bring to the table on the main stage. Artemis wasted no time. As soon as the bell rang she rushed Nunez and hit her with a barrage of blows. Artemis went to toss Nunez to the outside but Nunez blocked it, switched, and locked in a rope hanging arm bar. Nunez was forced to release the hold by the referee and when she re-entered the ring, Artemis caught her with a hard kick to the chest. Artemis then hit Silver Arrow Driver (Springboard Tornado DDT) for a near fall. PETRIE: Damn! These two aren’t giving each other any room to breathe. Feeling that the match was starting to slip away, Nunez caught an attempted kick from Artemis and hit the Selene Screw (Dragon Screw followed by multiple relentless elbows to the leg). MEARS: Nunez targeting the leg, looking to keep Artemis grounded. PETRIE: Wouldn’t you after getting hit with that Silver Arrow Driver? That was brutal. Artemis was down and damaged as Nunez looked to apply Solar Eclipse (Rolling Kneebar) but Artemis slipped out of it and hit Trials of Apollo (Repeated shoot kicks to a kneeling opponent’s chest followed by a roundhouse to the opponent’s head, with theatrics.). PETRIE: Kicking the living shit out of her! I love it. Nunez was rocked and Artemis measured her. Nunez was up but clearly out on her feet as Artemis charged and nailed her with The Black Stain (Single leg dropkick to a standing or kneeling opponent). Artemis covered and got the victory. Winner: Artemis

“Cream” by Prince filled the arena as the strobe lights began to flash and the fans rose out of their seats and to their feet. From the back emerged the OATH Tag Team Champions Thot Chocolate. They also had the Elysium Pro Tag Team Championships with them as they made their way to the ring. They entered the ring with SILK even holding open the ropes for his partner Cartier to enter first. The roar from the crowd was almost to a demeaning point but slowly died down as the two of them stood in the middle of the ring, each with a mic in hand.
SILK: Last Conviction wasn’t the best night professionally for either one of us…
CARTIER: Hell, our last OATH tag title defense wasn’t even that great for me even though we won, who we foolin’?
SILK stopped mid sentence, not because Cartier chimed in but because she was so negative about herself.
SILK: Girl, you need to calm down. We got the W, that’s all that matters.
CARTIER: Don’t tell me to calm down when I almost cost us against The Dynasty and then I can’t even beat Josie Wales who you handled weeks ago.
Cartier’s partner can’t help but sigh and show a look of slight frustration.
SILK: Man, I lost my shot at the Intrepid Title but ya don’t see ya boi out here goin’ on ‘bout it. Gotta move on girl, I know I have.
Cartier looked visibly bothered that SILK was brushing her being down about her past performances to the side.
CARTIER: At least you got a shot at singles gold. You know what? We came out here wantin’ to talk about the Number One Contenders match tonight but fuck it, let whoever comes come. I’m outta here.
Cartier suddenly dropped her mic as SILK looked on stunned at her being fed up and wanting to leave. She didn’t even wait for SILK as she exited the ring and started heading up the ramp to the back while SILK still looked baffled with his hands on his hips.
She passed through the curtain and walked through the gorilla position and entered the hallways of the arena as the camera kept following her. She passed by a locker room, entered it and then came back out with her bags. All the while, SILK was watching on the tron in disbelief still in the ring.
Cartier kept walking down the hallway, came to a few parked cars and opened the side door to her rental. She threw her bag onto the passenger seat, entered the drivers side, started the car and sped off as we cut back to SILK shaking his head and throwing up his hands as we cut to commercial.

Singles Match Brie Marie w/ Alex Pierce vs. Wendy Wynne
Before this one started we showed what happened earlier on The Kickoff as Wendy Wynne came out and distracted the referee during Alex Pierce’s match with Keegan Ryan. Josie Wales came through the crowd and cost Pierce the match. Dashie was accompanied by Pierce, who starred a hole through Wynne as she made her elaborate entrance. Wynne blew him a kiss and then took hold of a microphone. WYNNE: Now Fire Fister, don’t get any ideas. I didn’t mean to distract the referee earlier tonight. I just wanted to come watch your match up close. I didn’t know that Cowgirl Bebop was going to interfere. That was just…a happy accident. Pierce paced at ringside, trying to contain himself. WYNNE: You just stand there and look stupid. Watch me bust up your pal then carry her to the back when it’s all over. K? As soon as Wynne dropped the microphone the bell rang and Dashie caught her off guard with a running dropkick. Dashiemania started running wild as Dashie hit the ropes and came back with a second dropkick to Wynne’s face. Dashie covered and got a two count. Wynne rolled to the outside to recover…right beside Pierce. Wynne got up and begged off, telling Pierce to “back the fuck up”. That’s when Dashie charged and hit her with a baseball slide to the back of the head. MEARS: The mind games with Alex Pierce seem to be backfiring on Wynne. PETRIE: I hate Dashiemania. There. I said it. Dashie went outside and grabbed Wynne. Once they were back in the ring Dashie went for a Yahtzee (Super Kick Outta Nowhere) but Wynne caught her foot and then clobbered Dashie with a high impact flipping dropkick. Wynne covered for a two count. Pierce watched from the outside as Wynne applied a kneeling reverse chinlock. Wynne shouted some bullshit at Pierce that only served to infuriate him further. However Wynne should have been focussing on her opponent. MEARS: Listen to Tijuana! They want to see Dashiemania! “DASH-IE!” chants started up and that energized the popular young star. Dashie started fighting up and Wynne was losing her grip. After a few elbows to Wynne’s mid-section, the hold was broken and Dashie went to hit the ropes but Wynne grabbed her by the hair and Dashie was slammed into the mat. Pierce couldn’t stand it, he got on the apron and chastized the referee for allowing the hair pull. That’s when “The Outlaw” Josie Wales charged down to the ring. Wales ripped Pierce off of the apron and his face collided with the ring. Wynne doubled over with laughter but Dashie came from behind and rolled The Wicked Witch up! Tijuana counted along with the referee. Dashie got the three count! Winner: Brie Marie Wynne was shocked. Pierce and Wales brawled on the outside. Marie saw her friend in trouble and went to provide some back up but Wales got away. Wynne joined her on the ramp and the two argued as we went to commercial.

In the back Wendy Wynne was irate. Wales stood with her and also wore a frustrated expression. WYNNE: What the hell Cowgirl? That is not how that was supposed to go. WALES: Hey it ain’t my fault that you got caught. My beef is with Pierce, I want my win back. WYNNE: Yeah. I know. Now I have to get mine back too. Wynne seemed struck by an idea. She smirked. WYNNE: Let’s kill two birds with one stone at Where Eagles Dare. You and me against those two nerds. And when we win… Wynne pulled out her Skeleton Key, which grants her a title shot of her choosing, whenever she wants.
WYNNE: …maybe you and I take a look at those Tag Team Titles.
WALES: Yeah that could work out real good. You’re on.
Wales walked out of frame and Wynne was left twirling the Skeleton Key around her finger.

Singles Match Jake Archer vs. Reo Ojima
It was advantageous that Archer was out first because when Ojima was making his entrance, Archer tossed himself over the top rope with a plancha that took “The Stone Gargoyle” down. MEARS: Jake Archer making a statement before the bell even rang! PETRIE: He knows that Ojima has his number, so he’s trying to get any advantage that he can. Pathetic. Archer kept Ojima subdued with some stomps and kicks before sending Ojima into the ring. The bell rang and Archer rushed Ojima, only to get turned inside out by a lariat from the seasoned competitor.
With a sinister smirk, Ojima got Archer up and sent him hard into a corner. Ojima followed that up with a running back elbow. Archer stumbled out of the corner and Ojima grounded him with a sick forearm smash to the back of the head. MEARS: Jake Archer’s OATH career has been plagued by injury. Wars with the likes of Erik Holland and Nina Stokes have seen him hospitalized on many occasions. PETRIE: Yeah. He can’t seem to catch a break because he doesn’t have it anymore. Ojima nudged Archer with the toe of his boot but that strike to the back of Archer’s head definitely did some damage. Ojima pointed at Archer and looked into the crowd, as if to say “What the hell is this?”. MEARS: This is hard to watch. Archer is out. Archer started pulling himself up using the ropes and Ojima let him. Ojima approached “The Man In High Demand” but Archer blasted him with The Touch! (Sweet Chin Music set up into a Spinning Backfist) out of nowhere! Ojima dropped to a knee! PETRIE: The little bastard was playing possum. In a daze, Ojima got to his feet but was met with Just Do It! (Handspring Enzuigiri) from Archer. Ojima was down and Archer saw his opportunity for victory. Tijuana was on Archer’s side as he hit I Believe I Can Fly! (Moonsault from the bottom turnbuckle, then middle, then finally top). Archer covered. 1..
2..
..! Ojima kicked out at the last possible second. Neither Archer or the fans in Tijuana could believe it. Archer then went for the Negasonic Warhead (Starship Pain) but Ojima popped up and hit the ropes. Archer crotched the top rope, facing the crowd. A murderous expression came across the face of Ojima as he grabbed Archer and dragged him off of the top turnbuckle with the Chinese Water Torture (Dragon Sleeper). Archer faded quickly and had no choice but to submit. Winner: Reo Ojima
Ojima released the hold and Archer crumbled to the mat. After getting his hand raised, Ojima kicked Archer in the ribs until the latter rolled out of the ring to the outside.

With the match over and officials helping Archer to the back, a very winded Ojima remained inside the ring and motioned for a microphone. Grabbing one from a stagehand, Ojima leaned up against the top rope and looked up the ramp leading to the back. Taking out his mouthguard, Ojima, with his broken english, spoke into the microphone.
OJIMA: Aura Everton! COME HERE NOW!
Commotion erupted in the arena as everyone wondered if the Tabula Rasa Champion would answer the call. It didn’t take long as “Doing It To Death” started to play and Everton made her way out with the Tabula Rasa Championship. Ojima gave a grin and motioned her to enter the ring. Somewhat hesitant at first, Everton eventually made her way down and entered the ring to stand across from Ojima. The music finally died down and there was a short stare down between the two wrestlers. Taking his finger, Ojima pointed at the Tabula Rasa Championship and addressed the champion.
OJIMA: You! Me! Where Eagles Dare! For this!
Ojima forcefully jabbed the title and extended a hand as he awaited Everton to respond with a handshake. Everton grabbed his hand as a show of accepting the challenge as the crowd gave a cheer. Ojima gave a grin and was going to walk away but Everton grabs his hand firmly and brought him in close. Ojima was amused at first but became angered as his eye grew wide. The two started to speak to one another and it looked like a brawl was coming, but OATH staff enter the ring and quickly broke the two up.

#1 Contendership: Tag Team Titles Tag Team Match The Dynasty vs. The Inevitable
Both of these teams had fallen to Tag Team Champions Thot Chocolate in the last few months and both were not only looking for a title match, but a chance to redeem themselves. The first ever Tag Team Champions, The Inevitable came out with The Dynasty already in the ring. Leah and Stephanie Matsuda took their time and neither embraced the fans as they usually would. MEARS: It appears that the typically fan friendly team of The Inevitable have their eyes on the prize tonight. They are focussed. PETRIE: As they should be! All they have is the tag division! Leah started the match against Patrick Slayton. Leah rushed Patrick and went for a flying knee early but Patrick moved and sent her hard into a corner. Leah landed in a heap and Patrick stalked her. Leah got up and was turned inside out by Devil’s Trident (Spear). Patrick tagged in his brother David and the duo put Leah on the mat with Shadow Kick (Stereo Dropkicks). David covered but Leah kicked out at two. David got Leah up and shot her into the ropes but Matsuda made the blind tag. MEARS: Smart play from Matsuda. I don’t think David Slayton saw the tag! On the rebound Leah hit David with a big boot and with David momentarily dazed Matsuda hit a springboard into the ring and caught David with Final Heaven (Springboard Forearm Smash). Matsuda covered but David kicked out at two. Matsuda applied a front chancery but David fought up. David lifted Matsuda up, charged and drove her into his corner where Patrick made the tag. Patrick took hold of Matsuda and David got himself in position. Together the brothers hit Spin Doctor (Rolling fireman’s carry slam [Patrick] followed by a Senton Bomb [David]). MEARS: That could be it! What a double team! Before Patrick could go for a cover, Leah entered the ring (illegally) and blasted him with Yahtzee (Superkick)! This caused David to try and get back into the ring but the referee stopped him. The referee tried to get both Leah and David to leave and in the chaos there was something else going on that he did not see. MEARS: What is Stephanie Matsuda doing? PETRIE: What needs to be done! Who saw this coming? Matsuda produced a pair of brass knuckles and with the referee’s attention elsewhere, Matsuda blasted Patrick in the mouth with a loaded right hand! Patrick crumbled and Leah blasted David with a Yahtzee! (Superkick) that sent him over the top rope to the floor. Leah then exited the ring as Matsuda covered Patrick for the victory. MEARS: What the hell? Winners: Number One Contenders, The Inevitable Matsuda and Leah celebrated outside the ring, Matsuda having hidden away the brass knuckles. The fans who supported The Inevitable in the beginning of this match started booing them heavily. The Inevitable didn’t care, they had gold in their sights. In the ring, David checked on his brother Patrick, who was still knocked out cold. David shouted obscenities at The Inevitable as they turned their backs and walked up the ramp.

Somewhere in the back, James Edwards walked in a methodical manner that mirrored his fighting style.
EDWARDS: The real dumbasses in this sport can’t give credit where credit is due. I kicked Jake Archer’s head halfway to the Estadia Azteca, and he still thinks I’m not shit.
Edwards held out his hand, and began to trace the walls like a map.
EDWARDS: Locke Helms ain’t paid a bit of attention to what I’ve done. I’ve knocked out two of the biggest stars in this company, and I made it look easy. Nobody in OATH has an answer for the Gospel so far, but of course, Locke Helms thinks he does.
Edwards shook his head in disbelief.
EDWARDS: I always thought that submission wrestlers were supposed to be the smartest folks in the fight game. How the hell is an arm submission gonna nullify a kick? Or do you think I’m just that easy to beat? Yeah, you’ve made me tap. Hell, you’ve made a lot of good fighters tap. The thing is, I lasted longer in that hold than anybody before I tapped. I was one second away from killing the myth of Witching Hour. Then I handed that honor to THEM two weeks ago.
A momentary look of disgust came over Edwards’ face. Apparently, there where some people he hates more than Helms.
EDWARDS: I regret that. I should’ve attacked before the bell, and I should’ve knocked Helms out when I had the chance. I’ve been too cute trying to play mind games the last few weeks, and it cost me the intimidation factor. That ends tonight. I’m coming for the knockout tonight. The same way I’m coming for the title in a few weeks at Where Eagles Dare, and I’m gonna’ do it in the only match that makes sense, a Bloodsport Match. The only way to win is knockout or submission. You got the balls to accept, Helms? If you do, meet me in the ring and give me an answer before I put you to sleep.

Tornado Tag Team Match Badd Breed vs. Clan Black
The next contest was a grudge match to say the least. The team of Erik Holland and Samantha Hamilton came to the ring, fists taped, ready for a fight. The team of Jack O’Brien and Derrick Warburton were out next but they didn’t come down the entrance ramp. MEARS: Perhaps Clan Black has decided not to attend. PETRIE: Oh…they’re here. Clan Black came through the crowd, slid into the ring and attacked Badd Breed from behind. The bell rang as O’Brien sent Hamilton into the ropes and then caught her on the return with a Pop-Up Elbow Smash. Warburton sent Holland to the outside and then joined him out there. Holland got to his feet, trying to get his wits about him. He had no time to do so as Warburton charged and clobbered Holland with a running cross body. MEARS: Oh my God. A man the size of Warburton should not legally be allowed to do something like that to another human being. In the ring O’Brien stood over Hamilton and flexed. Hamilton looked to fight up but O’Brien applied an iron claw. It worked to keep Hamilton down on the mat…at first. However the support from the fans in Tijuana saw “The Titaness” fight up to her feet. Hamilton hit O’Brien with some shots to the mid-section and then took O’Brien over with Defying The Gods (Frankensteiner). O’Brien went down and fell to the outside of the ring, right near Holland and Warburton. Warburton was beating Holland down when he noticed O’Brien at his side. What he didn’t notice was Hamilton charge and dive through the ropes, taking both members of Clan Black down. MEARS: Samantha Hamilton like a cruise missile! PETRIE: I didn’t know that she could do that. MEARS: Me either! Holland was back up and he pounced on top of Warburton, hitting him with rights and lefts. Holland stood and let out a primal roar, pumping the crowd in Tijuana up. Holland searched under the ring and pulled out a kendo stick. Holland held it up and then starting wearing out both members of Clan Black. “The Titaness” decided to get in on the act. She reached under the ring and pulled out a table. Then another. Then another. Hamilton set up two tables side by side and then leaned one up against a guard rail. MEARS: This is breaking down quickly! PETRIE: No rules in a Tornado Tag Team Match. I guess. O’Brien started to stand and when Holland swung the kendo stick again, O’Brien caught it. O’Brien ripped the kendo stick out of Holland’s hand. Holland had no time to react because Warburton came out of nowhere and hit Holland with Intentional Grounding (Pounce) right through the angled table. MEARS: Erik Holland was just broken in half! Hamilton tried to come to Holland’s aid but O’Brien swung the kendo stick and caught her right in the face! Hamilton’s lip was busted open and she dropped to a knee. O’Brien sent Hamilton into the ring and then both members of Clan Black followed her in. “The Titaness” was up but she was immediately met with two massive hands around her throat. O’Brien and Warburton both lifted Hamilton up and sent her crashing into the mat with a double chokeslam. O’Brien covered. PETRIE: Goodnight Titaness.
1..
2..
..! MEARS: Not yet! Hamilton perseveres! Hamilton kicked out at the last second and both members of Clan Black were irate. O’Brien instructed his partner and Warburton got Hamilton up in an electric chair position. O’Brien climbed to the top rope and the duo seemed to look for a doomsday device but as O’Brien came off the top rope with the flying clothesline, Hamilton threw herself back and drove Warburton’s head into the mat with a poison rana! MEARS: Samantha Hamilton will not go down without a fight! PETRIE: It would be great if she did though. “The Titaness” looked to see Holland stirring on the outside. Hamilton got Warburton up and sent him through the ropes to the outside. O’Brien was laying in a heap after missing the flying clothesline and Hamilton grabbed him. Hamilton dropped him with Wrath of the Titans (Pedigree). On the outside Holland blasted Warburton with a bicycle kick and then he laid Warburton across the two tables. Holland called to Hamilton and she nodded. In an uncharacteristic move, Hamilton climbed to the top rope and them came off with a flying elbow drop, putting Warburton through both tables. MEARS: Samantha Hamilton! What the hell was that! Holland slid into the ring and stalked O’Brien. O’Brien was in a daze after eating Hamilton’s finish and then he was completely out after Holland planted him with The Toxic Avenger (Death Valley Driver). Holland covered.
1..
2.. ..3!
The bell rang and Badd Breed were declared the victors. Holland immediately exited the ring to check on his partner Hamilton, who was laying in the rubble of two broken tables and a broken Warburton.
Winners: Badd Breed

SILK walked through the backstage area toward the locker room when he was approached by the number one contenders for the OATH Tag Team Titles, Leah and Stephanie Matsuda, The Inevitable. LEAH: Looks like we’re going to do it again at Where Eagles Dare, SILK. SILK: Do what baby? Lose? MATSUDA: Nah. Not this time. You see we’ve changed. We’re different. We know that we don’t need to play nice any more, we’re above it. We just showed that to The Dynasty and… SILK interrupts. SILK: And you’re gonna show Thot Chocolate at Where Eagles Dare? Y’all are so damn predictable. SILK doesn’t care if– The Tag Team Champion couldn’t finish his thought because Matsuda blasted him with a right hand that dropped him. The camera closed in to show that again she was wearing brass knuckles. Leah and Matsuda started putting the boots to SILK, who was sporting a bloodied mouth. SILK tried to fight up and stumbled, catching himself on a wall near the glass window of an office. SILK darted at The Inevitable but they blasted him with Double Yahtzee! (Double Superkick). The Inevitable stood SILK up and Leah grabbed him by the chin.
LEAH: Say hi to Cartier for us…
MATSUDA: …when you wake up.
With that, The Inevitable grabbed SILK by the back of the head and sent him face first through the glass window! SILK’s body lay draped, half in the office and half out. OATH officials rushed to his aid as The Inevitable walked off, laughing.

“Gimme the Prize” cued up and the fans in Tijuana started booing. OATH Intrepid Champion, “The Crossroads Demon” Locke Helms came out onto the stage and made his way to the ring. MEARS: Here it is. Will Helms accept the challenge from James Edwards to a Bloodsport Match at Where Eagles Dare? PETRIE: Why should he? He’s beaten Edwards. Twice! Once in the ring, Helms took hold of a microphone. He was about to speak but a loud ovation caused Helms to pause, as James Edwards appears on the stage. MEARS: It looks like he won’t get a chance to accept. Wasting no time, Edwards charged the ring and ate a few stomps from Helms when slid underneath the ring ropes. Helms tried to bring Edwards to a vertical position, but Edwards got some separation with a pair of knife-edge chops. Edwards went to grapple with Helms but suffered a thumb to his left eye. Helms quickly spun Edwards around and locked him in position for a full nelson facebuster, the prelude to Witching Hour. Somehow, Edwards wriggled out of the hold and stunned Helms with a sit-out jawbreaker that dropped the Intrepid Champion on his ass.
MEARS: Helms is in trouble! Edwards quickly got back to his feet and hit the ropes. Though still stunned, Helms looked like he sees a train coming down the tracks, the Violent Gospel was imminent. Edwards rears back his leg, and Helms braced for an impact…that never came. Instead, Edwards stopped, reached down and honks Helms’ nose.
The crowd was in shock until Edwards started to laugh after he shoved Helms down to the canvas with force. The OATH faithful cheered “ The Burning Heart” as he exited the ring and walked up the ramp, oblivious to the seething Helms staring daggers. Helms collected the microphone and before Edwards disappeared behind the curtain, Helms calmly spoke two words.
HELMS: You’re on.
Edwards stopped, his back to the ring. Edwards smirked and then disappeared behind the curtain.

The Journey Of Nina Stokes…
OATH Debut vs. Chastity Vice Chastity Vice attempted a sidewinder suplex but Nina Stokes blocked it and cracked Vice with Divine Night (Rolling Elbow). Stokes applied a wrist lock and hit Vice with a series of quick kicks before she pulled “The Black Wanderer” into Quietus Redux (Crossface-Chickenwing). Vice had no choice but to submit. Event Horizon Finals – 07/28/19
Intrepid Title Match vs. Samantha Hamilton © Nina Stokes got the champion up but Samantha Hamilton came back to life and went for a lariat but Stokes evaded it and locked in the Quietus Redux (Crossface Chickenwing). Hamilton, with her arm absolutely fucked, looked ready to submit but in a final show of strength Hamilton broke the hold, spun out and nailed Stokes with a lightning quick Atlas Shrugged (Widow’s Peak). Hamilton covered and got a three count. Conviction Episode IV – 09/02/19
Tabula Rasa Title Match | War of Attrition Undeterred, Catriona Mackenzie shot Nina Stokes into the corner and then charged in for a handspring stinger splash. As MacKenzie leaped toward Stokes for the splash portion of the combination, Stokes stepped forward and caught MacKenzie with A Slice of Grace (Throat Punch). MacKenzie staggered backward holding her throat and this gave Stokes enough space to dash forward and hit MacKenzie with Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III (Boma Ye Knee Strike). Stokes covered and counted along with the referee. It was three. Brutalism – 09/29/19
vs. Declan Black Archer saw his moment so he slid into the ring as Black took hold of Stokes. Black apparently saw Archer out of the corner of his eye because when Archer unleashed a superkick, Black moved out of the way and Archer hit Stokes. Black then sent Archer sailing over the top rope and Archer landed on the outside with a thud. Stokes was hanging onto the top rope and then when she shook off the kick, she looked to make a move toward Black but he hit her with a second Call of the Coal (Claymore). Stokes dropped and Black covered. The referee, having wiped the blood from his eyes made the count and got three. Conviction Episode IX – 10/14/19
Tabula Rasa Title Match vs. Aura Everton This time Everton did not hesitate, she started pounding the absolute shit out of Stokes’ face with rights and lefts. Stokes tried to cover up but one shot absolutely rocked her and opened a cut over her left eye. Everton did not relent, she hit a few more shots, then tossed a hard glancing elbow that opened the cut up even wider and blood started pouring out of Stokes’ cut. The referee intervened and stopped the match. That was enough blood. Conviction Episode XIII – 12/02/19
vs. Locke Helms When all seemed lost, Stokes foot caught the bottom rope and Helms was forced to break the hold. Helms looked momentarily shocked but knew that he had to stay on his opponent. That moment of hesitation allowed Stokes to caught him with A Slice of Grace (Throat Punch). Helms crumbled and Stokes hit the ropes, coming back with Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III (Boma Ye Knee Strike). Stokes covered and got the three count, ending Helms’ undefeated streak. Conviction Episode XIV – 12/09/19

It was time. Nina Stokes made her way to the ring and got a great response from the crowd in Tijuana. Her journey since coming to OATH had led her to this moment, her first opportunity to claim the World Championship. Stokes looked focused and ready to claim destiny. The OATH World Champion was out next, opting not to come through the crowd because his security team was not with him. Madeline Warren walked to the ring with Declan Black and the champion did not seem concerned with Nina Stokes. MEARS: He has been World Champion since September. This is not his first main event in the company and it likely won’t be his last. Declan Black is a main event talent, he is the top man, and tonight he faces the biggest test of his OATH career so far. PETRIE: What are you talking about? This is a test that he has passed before! MEARS: Not without help. Once in the ring the referee presented the championship to both competitors and before he could call for the bell, Black went for Call of the Coal (Claymore Kick) but Stokes saw it coming! Stokes then went for her Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III (Boma Ye Knee Strike) but Black slipped out of the ring. Stokes demanded that the champion get back in but Black gestured for her to calm down. Black paced around ringside leisurely, tailed by Warren. Black then took his time walking up the steps. Black went to enter the ring and Stokes rushed him. Black backed out through the ropes and told the referee to do his job. The referee backed Stokes off and she begrudgingly obliged. Black entered the ring. PETRIE: Give the champ some room! Good lord! Stokes rushed Black and Black hit her with a toe kick to the mid-section. Black sent Stokes across the ring and went for a clothesline on her return but Stokes ducked under it, hit the opposing ropes and then she cracked Black in the chest with a shoot kick. Again Black slipped to the outside and was embraced by Warren. Stokes had had enough of this bullshit, she exited the ring, ducked down, and when Black came around the corner Stokes blasted him with another shoot kick to the chest. Stokes got Black back into the ring and when she slid under the bottom rope, Black charged and stomped on the back of her neck. Black did this a half dozen more times before he dropped to his knees and applied a laying front chancery. MEARS: No one can say that Declan Black isn’t a phenomenal wrestler. But it is his intelligence that sets him apart. He knows how to create opportunities. Black had the challenger face down on the mat and she was fading fast. With Stokes subdued, Black tried to transition into 25:18 (Border City Stretch) but Stokes fought up to her feet. Stokes went to hit the ropes but Black grabbed her waist band. Black pulled Stokes back into a German suplex attempt but Stokes pushed her weight forward, slipped down through Black’s legs and applied an ankle lock! Black tried to crawl toward the ropes. PETRIE: Get there champ! You’ve gotta get the ropes! MEARS: Stokes is a submission specialist. She knows how to break someone down and she is showing that right now. The champion was nearly at the ropes, he was an inch away, but Stokes dropped to her back. Stokes applied a grapevine and wrenched back on Black’s leg, the champion couldn’t move any further! The referee asked Black if he wanted to submit, Black screamed “No!”. Just when it seemed that Black was going to submit, Warren pushed the bottom rope in just far enough for Black to grab it. The referee saw Black’s hand on the rope and forced Stokes to break the hold. MEARS: Come on referee! Do you think that his body grew a few inches while he was in that hold? Open your eyes. Despite not tapping out, Black was clearly hurt. Black tried to roll over and get up but Stokes came out of nowhere with a sliding single leg dropkick. Black sat up, trying to put some distance between himself and Stokes but she caught him with a soccer kick to the back. “The Pride of Nova Scotia” pulled himself up using the ropes and Stokes was on him again. Stokes grabbed Black by the arm and when to shoot him across the ring but Black reversed it and he planted Stokes with In The Black (Regal Cutter). Black covered. 1..
2..! Stokes kicked out at two but Black stayed on top of her, hitting her with rights and lefts. Black got Stokes to her feet and shot her into the ropes. Black then grabbed the referee and on the outside, Warren grabbed Stokes’ leg from the outside. MEARS: Madeline Warren needs to be ejected from this contest. This is practically two on one! “Jidai no Makuake” turned and reached over the top rope, trying to grab Warren and that’s when Black struck. Black charged and nailed Stokes with Call of the Coal (Claymore Kick) to the back of Stokes’ head. Stokes was sent over the top rope to the outside. PETRIE: Caught her slippin’! Black dropped to a knee and demanded that the referee check his damaged leg. While the referee obliged, Black subtly gestured to Warren on the outside. Warren started putting the boots to Stokes and then rolled her back into the ring. When Stokes was on the mat in front of him, Black dove and covered. PETRIE: Black retains!

..! MEARS: Not quite! At the last possible second Stokes kicked out. Warren started screeching at ringside, yelling at the referee to do his job. Black quickly took hold of Stokes and went for Blackout (Rainmaker Lariat) but Stokes ducked under it and sent Black into a corner. Stokes charged in at Black and nailed him with a big boot in the corner. Black stumbled out and walked right into a snap dragon screw to his injured leg. Stokes tried to apply another ankle lock but Black scrambled to the ropes. Stokes was forced to break her grip and when Black came at her she took him over with a back side suplex! MEARS: Nina Stokes has Black’s number right now! We could be closing in on the crowning of a new World Champion! The OATH World Champion was down on the mat and Tijuana was fully behind Stokes. Stokes measured Black but Warren was up on the apron. Stokes grabbed Warren by the hair and brought her into the ring the hard way. MEARS: Yes! Get her! PETRIE: That’s not fair! Warren is not a wrestler! MEARS: Then she needs to stop getting involved. Perhaps she will learn that lesson right now courtesy of Nina Stokes! Warren was on her knees, begging Stokes not to hit her. Just as Stokes went to grab her, Black nailed Stokes with a chop block! Black hit the ropes and blasted Stokes in the side of the head with a knee trembler. Black covered.

2.. ..!
MEARS: Kickout! Nina Stokes is still alive!
Again Stokes kicked out. Warren was still in the ring and she grabbed the ref, screaming at him to count faster. The referee broke her grip and ejected Warren from ringside! Warren tried to protest, screeching at the top of her lungs but security entered the ring and escorted her to the back.
MEARS: Finally! This can be a fair contest!
PETRIE: Warren was Black’s emotional support! This is a crime against humanity!
“The Pride of Nova Scotia” was shocked, but he had no time to protest. Black grabbed Stokes and set her up for the Blackout (Rainmaker) but Stokes ducked underneath it and hit Black with A Slice of Grace (Throat Punch)! Black dropped to a knee and Stokes measured him.
Tijuana was cheering for Stokes as she charged and obliterated Black with Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III (Boma Ye Knee Strike). Black was knocked into the referee, taking the referee out but Black was out too! Stokes covered.
MEARS: It’s over!
TIJUANA: ONE! TWO! THREE!
PETRIE: The referee is down! That doesn’t count goddamnit!
Stokes should have gotten the victory but the referee was down. The crowd booed for that fact but booed even harder as Jack O’Brien and Derrick Warburton gingerly made their way down to the ring.
Clan Black tried to enter the ring but Stokes charged and blasted O’Brien off the apron with Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III (Boma Ye Knee Strike)! However, Warburton entered the ring and grabbed Stokes by the throat. Just as Warburton lifted Stokes up for a chokeslam, Badd Breed rushed the ring!
MEARS: Here comes the cavalry!
Erik Holland nailed Warburton with a bicycle kick, breaking Warburton’s grasp on Stokes. Badd Breed then set Warburton up and dropped him with A Solemn Hymn (Holland hits an over the shoulder cutter at the same time that Sam jumps off the second rope and adds a facebuster). Clan Black were neutralized.
MEARS: This is your chance Nina! This is it! You have to do it now!
PETRIE: No! This is fucking bullshit! I can’t watch!
MEARS: Go Nina! It’s your time!
Holland turned his attention to Black but Hamilton said that this wasn’t his fight. Black then charged and nailed Holland with Call of the Coal (Claymore). Holland was nailed right in the back of the head and he fell through the ropes to the outside.
MEARS: Holland is down! Holland is down!
PETRIE: He shouldn’t have been in there in the first place!
“The Titaness” saw red at this point. Hamilton grabbed Black just as the referee started to come to. Hamilton kicked Black in the mid-section and planted him with Wrath of The Titans (Pedigree)…right in front of the referee. The official had no choice but to call for the bell.
MEARS: No! No! No!
PETRIE: Hahahahaha!
Winner: Still OATH World Champion, Declan Black (via DQ)
The audience seemed ready to riot. Garbage started flying into the ring as Black was handed the title. Still fucked up from Wrath of the Titans, Black slithered out of the ring and collapsed in a heap ringside.
MEARS: Samantha Hamilton just cost Nina Stokes the OATH World Championship.
PETRIE: Another instance of Hamilton hindering Stokes’ career.
Hamilton stood in the ring, paralyzed by the reality of what she had done. Stokes held herself up in the corner, a look of complete shock on her face. Hamilton met Stokes eyes and simply said, “I’m sorry…”.
MEARS: I don’t think Nina will accept that apology…
But that didn’t matter, Stokes charged and blasted Hamilton with Amidst the Shadow of Sorrows III (Boma Ye Knee Strike). But Stokes wasn’t finished, she mounted Hamilton and laid into her with every strike in her arsenal.
PETRIE: Nina Stokes has snapped! She’s lost her mind!
Black got to his feet and was ecstatic. That was until he turned and was face to face with Holland. Holland smashed Black with a bicycle kick and then dropped him with The Toxic Avenger (Death Valley Driver) on the outside.
Security flooded the ringside area, trying to stop the mayhem as Conviction went off the air.
