November 25th, 2020

The Citadel in Toronto, Ontario

• Cassidy Kane def. Tina Lapalm

• Cass Baumer def. Annie Lapalm

The opening lyrics of "The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)" by Ylvis echoed throughout The Citadel sending the members of the Diablo Nation present tonight into a frenzy. They were awaiting their first glimpse of El Diablo Blanco as their OATH Livewire Champion. Ever the showman, El Diablo gave them exactly what they wanted. After a few moments of the entryway filling up with smoke, El D emerged with the Livewire Title in hand as he strummed along to his theme song like he's playing a guitar. The Diablo Nation was on their feet as he made his way down to the ring. El Diablo paused every few feet to let out an audible 'Thank You' to the crowd and blew kisses. Finally, he made his way into the ring holding up the Livewire Title as the music drew to an end.

BLANCO: Let me tell you something, Brothers and Sisters. Being here tonight… being here as YOUR Livewire Champion… I couldn't ask for anything greater in the world… well, outside of my wedding day, the birth of my two kids, that time I cracked an egg AND TWO YOLKS CAME OUT. That was mind blowing. It was like getting an extra egg out of that dozen, Brother. But I digress. Holding this Livewire Title has got to be the greatest accomplishment I've achieved in the sport of professional wrestling. I've been a two-time EPIC Violence Champion. I've been the EPIC World Champion. I've been the UCCL Break Stuff Champion. I have held every singles title in Blood and Nations Promotions.

El Diablo Blanco paused as he looked down at the Livewire Title. A fan could be heard screaming out from the crowd, "We love you, El D."

BLANCO: I love you too, Brother. I love all my Little Diablitos out there. This title… this Livewire Title is MY World Title. I mean, I'm going to give it to you straight, Brother. There are times I've been in the back and I keep hearing how Livewire is the B-Show for OATH. Really, Brother?! The B-Show? They say you start out on Livewire and then graduate to Conviction. I'm going to be real with you for a minute, Brother. Like really real. Who is to say that Livewire is the lesser show? We're all Brothers and Sisters out here trying to make a name for ourselves. Now, tonight El D has got himself a tag team match. It's El D and the Comedian going up against the Social Elite Sisters. You know, sisters like you're all my brothers and sisters. Not like Sister, Sister; which is actually a pretty good show despite being cancelled and then brought back by another network. Anyways, there's a stipulation there that if El D is beaten tonight, the person that I lose to will become the new Livewire Champion. I'm none too keen on those rules but El D is a fighting champion. El D is looking to rise about his situation and be a proud and deserving champion. There's a million things I haven't done as the Livewire Champion but just you wait. Tonight, with the support of the Diablo Nation here in attendance and those watching around the world, I will successfully defend this championship, Brother.

El Diablo Blanco once again paused to look at the title.

BLANCO: I mean it when I say that this title means the world to me. It really is my world title. And to defend it against the caliber of athletes we have on Livewire truly shows that we are not the B-Show. Should I retain this title tonight, I would want to be a champion the Livewire talent would be proud of. If I were to emerge from tonight with the Livewire Title still intact El D would love nothing more than to prove this title is on the same wavelength as Conviction. I would long to show the world that just because I'm the B-Show Champion it doesn't mean I can't go toe to toe with the "A-show" champion. That's right, Reo Ojima, I'm not looking to come for your title. I'm just looking to show Livewire is right up there with Conviction. Diggit?!

El Diablo Blanco slapped the faceplate of the Livewire Championship.

BLANCO: But before any of that were to take place, I've got a title to retain. Are you ready, Citadel?

The fans erupted with applause.

BLANCO: Then let's get this show on the road.

TAG TEAM MATCH

The Blacklist vs. Erika & Nicky Crawford

After a brief commercial break we went to the first match of the evening as The Blacklist, Nas & Nero Darkbringer took on the sibling tag team of Erika and Nicky Crawford. As soon as the bell rang Nas and Nero rushed the siblings and sent Nicky flying over the top rope to the floor. Nas and Nero then put an absolute beat down on Erika until the referees forced Nas from the ring.

VALERIE: Perhaps tonight will be the night that The Blacklist can get back on the golden path toward tag team supremacy. I for one feel like if they can not do that tonight -- then all hope may be lost.

O’NEIL: Is that what you actually think?

VALERIE: If they can not beat The Crawfords then they should hang their heads in shame!

Nero and Erika went back and forth until Erika was able to break free and hit Nero with a ripcord bicycle knee. Erika made the desperation tag to her brother and Nicky hit a springboard 450 splash for a near fall. Nas entered the ring and broke up the fall and then tried to get some cheap shots in on Nicky but Nicky surprised him with a Last Resort (Diamond Cutter).

VALERIE: My word this is just embarrassing.

Nicky tagged in Erika and she measured Nero up. The Citadel was firmly behind The Crawfords as Erika rushed forward and hit Nero with Good Girls Do It Best (Running Blockbuster). Erika tagged Nicky back in and he climbed to the top rope and came down on Nero with Witchblade (Final Hour). Nicky made the cover and got the victory.

Winners: Erika & Nicky Crawford

“D(r)own” by GHOSTEMAN played and the siblings celebrated. Meanwhile, Nas and Nero went nuts at ringside. Nas and Nero started shouting at the referee but security intervened and The Blacklist were forced to find another avenue in which to vent their anger.

In the backstage area we saw “The King of Immortality” Maverick warming up for his match tonight. Basic stretches, getting his head in the game -- shit like that. After a few moments Maverick stood upright because something out of frame caught his attention. The shot pulled out to show OATH Vice President Oscar R. Barlow standing nearby, watching the young athlete. Barlow was dressed in an electric blue three piece suit. Barlow had an intrigued expression that would be off putting to most people.

MAVERICK: Something I can fucking help you with Boss?

Barlow didn’t say anything at first, he just stood there looking smug.

BARLOW: You’ve been doing pretty well for yourself so far. Undefeated by my count.

MAVERICK: Yeah that’s right. So what?

BARLOW: Maybe it’s time we give you a chance to really shine.

MAVERICK: Yeah that’d be smart on your part. That champion you’ve got walking around right now -- fucking joke if you ask me Boss.

A sly smirk came across Barlow’s face.

BARLOW: Then it’s time that we do something about that. I’ll tell you what kid, show me something tonight. Show me that you deserve to be the face of this brand. You do that and I’ll put you in a position to be just that. How’s that sound kid?

Maverick seemed pleased with that offer.

MAVERICK: Yeah. I’ll show you something tonight. I’ll show everybody.

Barlow gave him a nod of approval and then walked out of frame, leaving Maverick to plot his next move.

SINGLES MATCH Kirios Hunt vs. Sydney St. Clair

The next match saw “The Huntress” and self proclaimed “Queen of Controversy” Kirios Hunt go head to head with “The Weapons Grade PAWG” Sydney St. Clair. The contest started with a test of strength that Hunt was able to get the better of with a double wrist clutch suplex. For a near fall. Sydney slipped out of the ring to compose herself.

O’NEIL: These two are two of the most exciting young talents on Livewire. You have to believe that Barlow will be set to give the winner of this match a shot at El Diablo Blanco.

VALERIE: First of all it’s Mr. Barlow and it seems that he already has plans for El D. Please May, I beg of you, pay attention.

Hunt sat on the middle rope and gestured for Sydney to reenter, an offer that Sydney had no interest in. Sydney slid into the ring on her stomach and picked Hunt’s leg. Sydney cracked Hunt with a koppu kick and then when Hunt took refuge in a corner, Sydney hit her with TM68 (Cannonball to a seated cornered opponent) for a near fall of her own.

The Huntress tried to rally back but Sydney put her down with a slingblade. Sydney set Hunt up for Magic Satchel (Ripcord Lungblower) but Hunt evaded it and blasted The Weapons Grade PAWG with a superwoman punch. Hunt covered and got another near fall.

At this point the fans started booing heavily, not because anything that was going on in the ring but because the Social Elite -- Angel Kash, Summer and Tiffany Lynn Page all appeared at the top of the ramp. Given that Hunt had some choice words for them on Twitter, it was no surprise that they were out here to scout The Huntress.

O’NEIL: Why are these three out here? Shouldn’t they be concerned with their main event match tonight?

VALERIE: The Social Elite do not take kindly to people bad mouthing them. Kirios had no business calling them out and she will pay for it.

O’NEIL: I don’t think that she said anything that wasn’t true.

VALERIE: Careful now May, you could be next on their hit list.

The presence of the Social Elite caught Hunt’s attention and she looked furious. She had no love for the trio and she went to exit the ring and confront them but St. Clair pulled her back into a school girl and the referee counted the fall against Hunt.

Winner: Sydney St. Clair

Perhaps believing that they had an ally in St. Clair, Social Elite started making their way down the ramp. Hunt was pissed off about the loss but there was no time for that now, she was about to be jumped. As Angel and the Pages reached the bottom of the ramp, Hunt invited them into the ring and they were set to oblige her but St. Clair moved to stand beside Hunt. Even The Huntress seemed shocked that St. Clair would have her back and the Social Elite decided that they had no interest in a fair fight.

Backstage OATH Livewire Interviewer Kendrick Bellamy stood with Cassidy Kane, the newcomer that was successful in her tryout match before the show started this evening.

BELLAMY: Cassidy Kane congratulations! By winning your tryout match tonight you have been offered a full OATH contract! How do you feel?

Before Kane could respond, another figure walked into frame. It was another new signee, Cass Baumer.

BAUMER: I think I can answer that! It feels great. Sorry to interrupt Cassidy, but I wanted to congratulate you. We are both newcomers here on Livewire and I just wanted to say that I’m happy for you!

KANE: I appreciate that. I think that---

Before Kane could finish her thought, both she and Baumer were blindsided by The Blacklist! Both Baumer and Kane were taken down. Nas and Nero started putting the boots to the newcomers before security intervened.

NAS: We’re sick of this shit! We want what we’re due and we’re sick of taking a backseat.

Nero smiled and knelt down between Baumer and Kane.

NERO: Welcome to Livewire.

Nero spit on the floor between them before he and Nas walked out of frame.

SINGLES MATCH

Vanessa Lynn vs. Maverick

Emboldened by the conversation that he had with Oscar R. Barlow earlier in the night, Maverick came to the ring full of malicious intent. Vanessa Lynn on the other hand was looking a little trepidatious. The bell rang and Maverick exploded out of his corner and hit Lynn with Sunset Overdrive (Running Blockbuster).

VALERIE: It appears that Maverick is a man of his word!

O’NEIL: Apparently so.

Maverick took a bow afterward and when Lynn sat up he hit her with Assassin's Blade (Jumping Thrust Kick to the back of a seated opponent's head). The crowd, who was ready to support Lynn, now could only watch as Maverick got her up onto his shoulders and planted her with Deus Ex Machina (Electric Chair Piledriver)! Maverick covered and got the victory.

Winner: Maverick

In the halls of The Citadel, “The Comedian” Allen Chaney walked toward the gorilla position, ready for his main event tag team match. Chaney rounded a corner and there he bumped right into an exhasperated production assistant.

P.A.: It’s you.

CHANEY: Is it?

P.A.: Allen Chaney! I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Mr. Barlow wants to see you right away.

CHANEY: He also has me booked in the main event. What would he like more? For me to go and see him or for me to do my job. Good question right?

The P.A. thought about it for a moment Chaney rolled his eyes in response.

P.A.: Well I mean he specifcally told me to find you and have you go see him before you are due to go out for your match. There’s still time! Please! My job is on the line.

The kid was wheezing. Completely out of breath. Chaney put a hand on his shoulder.

CHANEY: Alright kid don’t die on me. I’ll go see Barlow. But you’ve gotta do something for me okay? I need a danish. I always have one before a match -- you know -- a good luck ritual. Catering was all out. Can you find me one? I know they keep a stash on the third floor.

P.A.: They do?

CHANEY: They do. You go find one for me and I’ll go see Barlow. Deal?

P.A.: Deal.

CHANEY: Get going. I’m timining you!

The kid’s eyes went wide and he peeled off down the hall. Chaney laughed and then changed his destination to Barlow’s office and he chuckled, knowing that there was no third floor.

SINGLES MATCH

Jonathan Cage vs. AJ Jenkynx

The next match saw “The Sinner” AJ Jenkynx take on “The Eternal” Jonathan Cage. Cage was pretty surly about his Livewire Championship loss and he looked to take his agressions out on Jenkynx. Jenkynx had other plans. He met Cage in the center of the ring right off the bell and slapped him in the face.

Cage almost seemed impressed by Jenkynx’s lack of respect toward his veteran status. Cage nodded, like he enjoyed it and then cracked Jenkynx in the ribs with a right hand. Cage drove a knee into Jenkynx’s face and then cracked him in the side of the head with a roundhouse kick.

VALERIE: You know I really do believe that Mr. Jenkynx is an untapped gem. He has had trouble picking up victories but he has shown great apptitude for treachery!

O’NEIL: He has definitely made a lot of enemies.

Jenkynx, fueled by his lack of victories over the last little while, wanted to prove himself and he did by rushing Cage and treated him to a big boot to the face. Cage was quickly back up but Jenkynx put him back on the mat with a spinning heel kick.

Knowing that superkick is one of Cage’s most favoured strikes, Jenkynx looked to make a statement by unleashing one of his own on Cage. Unfortunately for The Sinner, Cage saw it coming and he caught Jenkynx’s boot and pulled him right into a Repentagram (F5) for a near fall.

O’NEIL: Cage is doing double duty this week. He’ll be on Conviction on Sunday. I wonder if he is trying to erase his loss to El Diablo Blanco as quickly as he can.

VALERIE: I would too! A loss to someone like Mr. Blanco is quite the black mark.

O’NEIL: Yeah and you’re wrong.

VALERIE: Do not be rude May.

Impressed with Jenkynx’s resilience, Cage offered him a free shot. Jenkynx took exception to this and instead he unleashed a snap superkick that sent Cage hard into a corner. Jenknyx followed that up with a running stinger splash and then went for some mounted punches in the corner.

Jenkynx was able to lay in several punches before Cage got his arms under The Sinner and planted him with a powerbomb. Cage hoisted himself up to the top rope and then came crashing down on Jenkynx with Darkness Falls (Swanton Bomb)! Cage hooked Jenkynx’s leg and got the three count.

Winner: Jonathan Cage

“Forget to Remember” kicked up and Cage was announced as the victor. Cage swiped the microphone from the ring announcer Crybaby and gestured that she should probably leave the ring as the audience booed. Cage knelt down beside Jenkynx.

CAGE: You’ve got potential my friend. You could be going places, if you make the right choices. One choice you have to make is to decide whether or not you want to keep losing so...consistently. If you want to start winning, you come see me and we’ll see about turning your career around.

Cage lay the microphone on Jenkynx’s chest and then exited the ring amid a chorus of booes from The Citadel.

• MAIN EVENT •

OATH LIVEWIRE CHAMPIONSHIP TAG TEAM MATCH Social Elite vs. El Diablo Blanco © & Allen Chaney

So the deal with the main event was that if El Diablo Blanco was pinned, whichever member of Social Elite who did the pinning would become Livewire Champion. A unique main event or a slimy way for Barlow to get the LW Title off of El D? You be the judge.

El D started the match off against Summer Page (in her first televised match no less). El D, even though he saw the Social Elite as bullies, still offerred Summer an honorable handshake to start the match. Tiffany Lynn Page laughed from ringside and Summer doubled over chuckling.

VALERIE: Does our champion have no idea who he is facing tonight?

O’NEIL: I think that he is well aware.

VALERIE: Then he should know that the Social Elite are the upper crust. They would never shake hands with a proletariat folk hero like El D. That would make them physically ill!

El D didn’t mind, he positioned himself for a lock up and took Summer down with a series of quick arm drags. The third arm drag really set Summer off and she tagged in Angel. Together the Social Elite hit El D with a double dropkick. And Angel went for a cover but only got a two count.

O’NEIL: Like them or not you have to be impressed with the team work from the Social Elite.

VALERIE: They are perfecly in sync. Like the boy band.

O’NEIL: ...NSync?

VALERIE: No The Monkees.

The Trillion Dollar Princess pranced around the ring, nchoosing not to press her advantage on the champion. When El D went to engage her, she kicked him in the knee and planted him with a running bulldog. Angel tagged Summer back up and they hit the Livewire Champion with Couture (High & Low)! The interesting thing being that Allen Chaney didn’t even seem to be paying attention, he was on the floor chatting with a fan. Summer covered but El D kicked out at two and the entire audience in The Citadel let out a sigh of relief.

O’NEIL: The fans in The Citadel are going through it right now. El D is getting completely dominated by Summer and Angel.

VALERIE: Was there any doubt? He is lucky that he won the title in the first place. Tonight he loses it. No doubt in my mind.

Summer tried to work El D over with some mounted punches but the champ got to his feet. Summer took off for the the ropes and looked to come back with a Total Knockout (Springboard Bulldog) but El D was ready for her and he took her out of the air with a massive spinebuster. The fans started clapping for El D and the fan that was chatting to Chaney told him to get up on the apron.

Reluctantly, Chaney got up on the apron and half heartedly slapped the top turnbuckle pad in a lazy attempt at motivating his partner. Chaney kept slapping the turnbuckle pad and when El D was within arm’s reach of making the tag, Chaney dropped off the apron holding his wrist. El D looked on in disbelief as Chaney went over to the announce table.

CHANEY: Vince! I hurt my wrist. Where is the EMT?

O’NEIL: Get back on the apron Allen!

CHANEY: I hurt my wrist!

Summer dragged El D back to the center of the ring and tagged in Angel. Tiffany was doubled over with laughter, watching Chaney consult with the announce team. Angel entered the ring and together with Summer she dropped El D with a double DDT. Angel covered El D and Chaney once again lazily got up onto the apron. Summer, fearing that Chaney might try to break up the pin, rushed to the opposing team’s corner and knocked him off the apron.

The camera closed in on Chaney and he was smiling -- but it was not a happy smile. Chaney reached into the ring and tripped up Summer. He tripped Summer up and pulled her out of the ring. Chaney pulled Summer in and blasted her with The Set-Up (Lariat). Chaney then slid into the ring and hit Angel with one. Chaney pulled El D over to their corner and then made a blind tag.

O’NEIL: The Comedian didn’t seem like he wanted to get involved but the Social Elite forced his hand!

VALERIE: Ms. Page what are you doing? It was going to be so easy!

O’NEIL: Now this is a fair fight.

Chaney shot into the ring and hit a standing Angel with a bionic elbow. Angel dropped and Chaney hit the ropes and then came crashing down on her with Makin’ Pancakes (Running Senton). Chaney seemed like he was going to go for a pin but Summer entered the ring and hit him with the Total Knockout (Springboard Bulldog). Social Elite gathered Chaney up and planted him with a double ddt.

‘Spoiled’ Summer got back on the apron and Angel made the tag. Chaney was back up but the Social Elite hit him with a double dropkick. Channey was sent reeling back into his corner where El D made the tag! Summer tried to cut El D off but he planted her with a spinebuster! El D then attempted the Backyard Elbow but Angel lowbridged the top rope from the apron and El D spilled to the outside.

VALERIE: This contest is not over yet!

The Comedian wanted more of the Social Elite so he entered the ring but the referee got in his path. This left El D open to some outside interference as Tiffany approached him on the outside. Luckily there were more people who hate the Social Elite. Kirios Hunt ran down the ramp and intervened before Summer could do anything!

Angel went to engage Hunt and El D slid back into the ring. Summer went to help Tiffany too but El D caught her and rolled her up with a tight cradle! Angel tried to enter the ring but Chaney simply stood in her way and stepped on her hand, acting like it was not his intention. The referee counted the fall.

Winners: Still Livewire Champion, El Diablo Blancoo & Allen Chaney

“What Does The Fox Say?” cued up and the Social Elite regrouped on the outside as the referee handed the Livewire Championship to El D. The crowd rejoiced. Social Elite opted not to continue the fight and fled up the ramp as Hunt chased them. In the ring, Chaney had taken hold of a microphone.

CHANEY: It looks like we did it El D! We vanquished the bullies!

The crowd kind of cheered but then cheered quite loud as El D Held up the Livewire Championship, nodding his head. Chaney obnoxiously clapped but then raised the microphone to his lips.

CHANEY: But there is something else El D.

The Citadel quieted as Chaney’s expression changed from glee to as stern as humanly possible. Chaney took a step toward El D and then glanced at the Livewire Championship.

CHANEY: I helped you retain that title. And now? You know what happens now?

Chaney took one more step toward the champ.

CHANEY: I challenge you…

The fans knew that this was coming. El D stared into Chaney’s eyes, ready to accepted.

CHANEY: I challenge you ALL...to try and enjoy this show without me on it. Mr. Straker put in the call and he wants me on Conviction. My time performing for all of you HACKS is over. Good like with being the mayor of shitsville El D. I’m outta here.

Chaney tossed the microphone into the air and left the ring. El D watched on, clearly unhappy that Chaney believes that Livewire is shitsville. El D reached down to grab the microphone and defend his kingdom when he was attacked from behind.

Maverick ripped the title out of El D’s hands and then blasted him in the head with it. Not long after that “THe King of Immortality” got El D up and planted him with Deus Ex Machina (Electric Chair Driver). The Citadel booed the living shit out of Maverick as he once again took hold of the Livewire Title and raised it into the air as Livewire 13 went off the air.
