Episode 14

December 2nd, 2020

The Citadel in Toronto, Ontario

It was time for the fourteenth episode of OATH Pro Wrestling Livewire. Following the champion’s signature we cut to the electric blue tinted opening. Set to “Sabotage” by Cancer Bats we saw a montage that featured OATH stars such as Sydney St. Clair, Kirios Hunt, The Crawfords, Social Elite, Maverick, and lastly the Livewire Champion himself El Diablo Blanco.

As usual we see inside The Citadel and the many fans that packed the house. At ringside we saw the peppery May O’Neil alongside the human embodiment of delusions of grandeur Vince Valerie. Once the pyro and ballyhoo ceased May welcomed the audience to the show.

O’NEIL: Welcome welcome to OATH Pro Wrestling Livewire. I’m May O’Neil alongside a man who once paid $400 for a meet and greet with Chris Kattan -- Vince Valerie.

VALERIE: What is wrong with Christopher Kattan? He is as hilarious and relevant as ever.

O’NEIL: I know you think that’s true. It’s not. What is actually true is that tonight we have a banger of a show. Five big matches. Drama. Intrigue. The works. Starting off the show we’ll see The Blacklist look to finish the job they started last week when they take on the debuting team of Cass Baumer & Cassidy Kane. After that we’ll see Erika Crawford return to singles competition when she faces the Social Elite’s Summer Page.

VALERIE: I adore the Social Elite. They make me feel bad about myself and that motivates me to better myself. I love it. What I do love is that AJ Jenkynx seems to have taken Jonathan Cage up on his offer. I heard that Cage is in the building tonight and will accompany AJ to the ring tonight when he faces Sydney St. Clair.

O’NEIL: That’s shit news for Sydney. Cage is crafty and Jenkynx desperately needs a win. Someone else who definitely wants to win tonight is Kirios Hunt. The “Queen of Controversey” has called out the Social Elite and tonight that call will be answered by Angel Kash.

VALERIE: Kirios Hunt...she should have stayed quiet. Angel is the ultimate alpha female and she is going to put Kirios in her place. After tonight’s main event Kirios will have company at the bottom of the card because the nightmare of El Diablo Blanco’s Livewire Title reign will come to a much needed conclusion.

O’NEIL: So...you’re putting your money on Maverick winning tonight then?

VALERIE: Without question. Maverick is a champion in every sense of the word. El Diablo Blanco is...well...he’s nothing. He is a pandering lunatic and it makes me feel physically ill when I remember that he is the champion of the brand I star on.

O’NEIL: Yes Vince you are definitely the star -- in your own mind. The real stars are coming up right now as we go to our opening contest of the night. Ramblers, let’s get ramblin’.

TAG TEAM MATCH

The Blacklist vs. Cass Baumer & Cassidy Kane

You had to believe that the more seasoned of the two teams would dominate this contest and they did, for a time. Through a series of quick tags Darkbringer and Nas were able to isolate Cass Baumer but following a botched piledriver attempt from Darkbringer, Baumer was able to make the tag. Kane entered the ring with a tilt-a-whirl ddt for a near fall.

O’NEIL: Seems like The Blacklist is a little out of step tonight.

VALERIE: They don’t want to hurt these young women. They are feeling remorse for what they did to them last week. They are being gentlemanly.

O’NEIL: I don’t even know where to begin with that statement.

Darkbringer was cut off from his partner and Kane tagged back out to Baumer, who hit Darkbringer with a sliding tackle and then dropped him with a hammerlock twisted into a short-range lariat for another near fall. Baumer tagged back out to Kane and Nas was finished watching the onslaught. He entered the ring to try to turn the tide but got caught with a double dropkick from Baumer and Kane.

VALERIE: Nas has had enough! Blacklist are going to end this quick.

O’NEIL: That remains to be seen.

Nero fell through the ropes from the double team attack and that opened Darkbringer up to take the Fact Check (Destino) from Baumer followed by The 13 Ghosts (Horse Stomp to the back of the head, Roaring Elbow, Running Yakuza Kick) combo from Kane. She covered and picked up the W.

Winners: Cass Baumer & Cassidy Kane

Following the bell Cass and Cassidy embraced. Darkbringer rolled out of the ring, clearly frustrated with the loss. Nas got to his feet and gave Darkbringer a shove, he answered back with one of his own. Not willing to let this get out of hand, Nas took his leave.

We are called to a shot backstage where Nicky Crawford is shown laid out backstage, a broken bottle of Cristal shattered beside his unconscious body. Erika Crawford and Livewire Champion El Diablo Blanco quickly arrived on scene along with trainers and referees.

ERIKA: Nicky!

Erika went to check on her brother but El D held her back.

EL D: Hang on Sister. Let the trainers do their work! They can help him, diggit?

ERIKA: Right. Who did this? Why would someone attack Nicky like this?

El D knelt down and inspected the broken bottle of champagne.

EL D: This is a $300 bottle of champagne. Too rich for El D’s blood. But I can only think of a few people who would spend this kind of money just to send a message.

ERIKA: The Social Elite.

El D popped a finger gun at Erika.

EL D: Bingo Sister. They intend on bullying you tonight, no doubt about it. Do you want me and The Diablo Nation to have your back?

Erika took a moment to consider the question and then shook her head.

ERIKA: No. You have a big championship match tonight to focus on. I will do this on my own -- the Social Elite is going to pay for what they’ve done to my brother.

EL D: Just stay focussed Sister. Don’t let hate cloud your judgement! You’re better than those schoolyard bullies. Remember that.

ERIKA: Thanks El D. I know what I have to do.

El D gave Erika a nod and she walked out of frame, ready to avenge her brother.

SINGLES MATCH

Erika Crawford vs. Summer Page

The next contest saw Erika Crawford come to the ring alone, with her brother having been taken out earlier. Summer Page came to the ring with Tiffany Lynn Page and both looked quite pleased with themselves. As if you needed any more proof that it was the Social Elite who attacked Nicky, Tiffany was carrying a bottle of Cristal to the ring. Upon seeing Tiffany holding proof, Erika chose not to heed El Diablo Blanco’s advice. She started the match by flying through the ropes onto Summer with a suicide dive.

VALERIE: What a completely classless move from Ms. Crawford.

O’NEIL: They smashed a bottle of champagne over her brother’s head.

VALERIE: Show me proof! This is all just conjecture.

Erika slipped Summer into the ring and mounted her, laying into her with rights and lefts that were clearly driven by emotion. Summer was able bucked Erika off then caught her in the left temple with a chick kick. Following a snap suplex Summer covered but only got a two count.

The Resident Good Girl was getting frustrated, that was very apparent. When Summer went for another snap suplex Erika hooked her leg around Summer’s and reversed it into a spinning neckbreaker. Erika covered but Summer was able to kick out.

Tiffany was more skulky than usual at ringside, she did her best to stay out of Erika’s field of vision. Summer tried to rally back by grabbing Erika’s hair but Erika shoved her away and then blasted her with a superkick. Summer landed across the middle rope and that opened her up to be hit with 3172 (Tiger Feint Kick)!

O’NEIL: It looks like the attack on Nicky backfired because Erika is more fired up than we’ve ever seen her. She’s fucking going for it.

VALERIE: We still do not have the facts on who attacked Mr. Crawford. What you are saying right now is liable!

With Summer groggy from that last move, Erika hoisted herself up to the top rope and measured her opponent. Summer got to her feet and complained to the referee that she had broken a nail. With that distraction, Tiffany saw her opportunity and she jumped up onto the apron and cracked Erika in the back of the head with the champagne bottle. It didn’t break but it for sure knocked Erika out. Tiffany dropped off the apron and Summer made the cover for the victory.

Winner: Summer Page

"S&M" by Rhianna kicked up and Tiffany slipped into the ring to celebrate, still holding the murder weapon. The two stood proudly over Erika, who was still out cold. She would not get the vengeance he sought...at least not tonight.

In the hallways of The Citadel, Cassidy Kane and Cass Baumer were making their way back to the locker rooms, still jubilant after their tag team victory earlier in the evening. They were laughing and carrying on but that quickly ceased when OATH Vice President Oscar R. Barlow rounded a corner.

The head honcho of Livewire eyed both competitors. He was typically a fidgety man but tonight he seemed much more composed. He was looking tired and was not smiling as much as he used to.

BARLOW: Congratulations. You must be very proud.

Barlow held out his hand to Kane and she shook it. Barlow gave Baumer a cursory glance but did not offer her a handshake.

BARLOW: It must have been difficult for you Ms. Kane. But shouldering the responsibility of winning that match with little help is a testament to your character.

Confused, Kane went to correct him.

KANE: Cass did a--

BARLOW: Let us see if you can rise to the occasion again Ms. Kane. I will team you two together again next week. If you can drag the journalist--

Another passing glance at Baumer.

BARLOW: --to another victory then I could see about moving you up the card. Best of luck Ms. Kane.

The Vice President turned on his heels and went to walk away but Kane took a step forward and spoke up.

KANE: Who are we facing?

The camera was in front of Barlow now, with his back to Baumer and Kane. We saw him smirk slightly before answering.

BARLOW: The Social Elite.

Barlow walked away, leaving both Baumer and Kane at a loss of what to say.

SINGLES MATCH AJ Jenkynx w/ Jonathan Cage vs. Sydney St. Clair

The next match saw “The Sinner” AJ Jenkynx come to the ring accompanied by his new associate, “The Eternal” Jonathan Cage. After the shit that they pulled on the last Conviction, the fans in the arena tonight booed the hell out of them.

O’NEIL: This upcoming Sunday AJ Jenkynx and Jonathan Cage take on OATH Tabula Rasa Champion James Edwards and Johnny Draco on Conviction. But tonight AJ Jenkynx looks to snap his several month losing streak.

VALERIE: Mr. Jenkynx is going to be a changed man going forward. He is sitting under the learning tree of a celebrated veteran. Tonight his life is going to change.

O’NEIL: That may be hard against someone like Sydney St. Clair. Some call her the uncrowned Livewire Champion.

VALERIE: Literally anyone would be better than the current champion.

“The Weapons Grade PAWG” Sydney St. Clair made her entrance and the match was on. St. Clair tried to grapple with Jenkynx early but he cracked her with a knee to the chin to put an end to that. Jenkynx battered St. Clair with head shots in the corner before leading her out into a urnage for a near fall.

The veteran Cage leisurely paced around ringside, watching the action. When Jenkynx would up the violence with heavier strikes, Cage would not. St. Clair was in a bad way when Jenkynx doubled her over and then planted her with a pump handle slam. Jenkynx covered but could only get a two count.

St. Clair showed her fighting spirit, battling back and freeing herself up to hit Jenkynx with a hurricanranna. Cage shook his head from ringside as St. Clair hoisted Jenkynx up to his feet, connected with a Koppu kick and then a rolling thunder jumping ddt! Cage looked disgusted as St. Clair made the cover for a two count of her own.

O’NEIL: It seems that Jonathan Cage is not impressed by AJ Jenkynx right now.

VALERIE: He is evaluating! He is looking for ways that Mr. Jenkynx can improve.

Jenkynx was clearly frustrated at this point. He looked to clear St. Clair with a lariat but she swung underneath it and planted him with a jumping reverse neckbreaker. Jenkyx was perhaps too quick up to his feet because he didn’t see St. Clair coming at him off a springboard with Aerial Ace (Springboard Cutter)! Jenkynx was laid out and St. Clair covered again but Cage put Jenkynx’s boot on the bottom rope.

The Weapons Grade PAWG shouted at Cage and that’s when Jenkynx cracked her in the back of the head with a roaring elbow! Jenkynx quickly spun St. Clair around and drilled her with Broken Dreams (Tiger Driver). The referee made the three count.

Winner: AJ Jenkynx

"Timmy Turner" by Desiigner started playing and the losing streak was snapped. Jenkynx got his first singles victory in months thanks in no small part to Jonathan Cage. Jenkynx celebrated on the ramp with Cage as the referee checked on St. Clair.

Cage had somehow commandeered a microphone and started speaking as he and Jenkynx backed up the ramp. The crowd had no interest in hearing what he had to say, they just booed the shit out of them both.

CAGE: James Edwards! Johnny Draco! You two are in for a bad night come Conviction. Especially you James because I am gunning for you. I spoke with Mr. Straker and he told me that I’m next in line for that title over your shoulder. This Sunday, you’re gonna get a small sample of what I’m going to do to you at Nightfall.

The Eternal let the microphone fall from his fingers and continued up the ramp with Jenkynx by his side.

Following a brief commercial break, Sydney St. Clair was shown sitting in the hallway next to the locker room following her match with AJ Jenkynx. She had an ice pack on the back of her neck and she looked extremely disappointed by the loss.

The camera pulled out to show the self-proclaimed “King of Pro Wrestling” Maverick walked by. He could barely contain his laughter as he approached where Sydney was sitting. He stopped in front of her and squatted in front of her.

MAVERICK: Tough one kiddo. You probably feel embarrassed. I would if someone broke such a long losing streak by beating me. Yeesh.

St. Clair didn’t speak, she just glared at Maverick.

MAVERICK: Here’s an idea, watch what I do to El Diablo Blanco later. You’ll see me become the new Livewire Champion and you won’t feel so bad about losing tonight. Trust me.

Maverick laughed obnoxiously and then walked off. St. Clair glared at him as the scene faded to black.

SINGLES MATCH Kirios Hunt vs. Angel Kash

“The Huntress” Kirios Hunt asked for this match against “The Trillion Dollar Princess” Angel Kash and that request was granted. Angel was accompanied to the ring by Tiffany Lynn Page who was still brandishing the bottle of champagne that she knocked Erika Crawford out with earlier.

O’NEIL: How is this being allowed? Tiffany already bottled at least one other person tonight. Is she being allowed to go on a bottling rampage? What the fuck?

VALERIE: Bottling Rampage? May you need to get more sleep. You look tired.

The bell rang and Hunt was cautious to keep her eyes on Angel as well as Tiffany at ringside. Hunt took control early after hitting a huge armbar takedown. Angel was frantic in her efforts to make it to the ropes and she ultimately did.

From that point forward Hunt targeted Angel’s left arm. After a yanking arm drag and several stomps to the left shoulder, Angel found herself in serious trouble. She needed a tide turning event and Tiffany provided one by hooking Hunt’s leg when she hit the ropes. Angel then blindsided Kirios with a running knee lift for a near fall.

O’NEIL: Shocker. Tiffany is getting involved.

VALERIE: That was clearly an accident.

As Hunt tried to recover, Angel really started pouring on the heinous offence. Angel pounced on Kirios with a back rake and then put her on the mat with a hair pulling backbreaker. Angel stood on Kirios’ hair and pulled on her arms for the length of a four count.

Tiffany got up on the apron and told the referee to stop giving her client a hard time. She was able to slip the bottle of Cristal into the ring and as Angel went to grab it, Kirios kicked it out of the way. She then sent Angel into Tiffany, knocking Tiffany from the apron to the floor!

O’NEIL: The plot has backfired!

The Trillion Dollar Princess proceeded to throw a minor hissy fit and Kirios rolled her up. Tiffany was down on the floor and had no way to help Angel. The referee dropped and made the count. Angel was quickly up to her knees -- she couldn’t believe what had happened.

Winner: Kirios Hunt

Angel immediately went to grab the bottle, looking to give Hunt a good bludgeoning but The Queen Of Controversy had already split. Hunt looked pleased as punch to have thwarted the Social Elite’s scheme.

• MAIN EVENT • OATH LIVEWIRE CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES MATCH Maverick vs. El Diablo Blanco

Main event time had arrived. The next challenger for the Livewire Championship, “The King of Professional Wrestling” Maverick was out first and The Citadel was not at all pleased to see him. Mav didn’t care -- he revelled in their dislike. The tune of the Toronto crowd quickly changed as the champ El Diablo Blanco made his way down to the ring with “The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)” by Ylvis echoing throughout The Citadel. As he came down the ramp we moved to a picture-in-picture screen with the Livewire Champion El D showing up in the bottom right corner.

BLANCO: Let me tell you something, Brother. Tonight, El Diablo Blanco has got himself a defense against a truly despicable person. Now all you out there know El D’s not the type of person who speaks ill of those around him. My opponent tonight, Maverick, is a totally dastardly dude. You see, El D has gone up against some pretty mean dudes and dudettes over the years. There have been bullies everywhere we look but this guy takes the cake. Now, good ol’ El D can look past that heinous attack Maverick did unto me last week. I’m the champ, Brother. That means there’s a target on my back. No, what Maverick did went beyond that. After several warnings, Maverick continues to use flagrant language just for the sake of using said language. I warned him. I told Maverick not to use those words on a medium that so many Little Diablitos log into each day but did he listen? Nope. No sir he did not. Well, tonight, Maverick is going to need to pay for his transgressions.

The video continued as live coverage of El Diablo Blanco played to the crowd.

BLANCO: When my daddy, Papa D, sat me down when I was just a Lil D he told me that there are a chosen few out there that can truly harness pure strength. They can use that strength to make this world a better place. Well, I turned to daddy and I said, “Hey now, Papa D. You can’t possibly be referring to me, Brother. I’m scrawny. I’m skin and bones. I’m not like those other boys in school.” Well, this is what he told me. Lil D, when the time is right, you will be the chosen one. A strong man, who has known power all his life, may lose respect for that power. But a weak man knows the value of strength, and knows compassion. Those words stayed with me from that day forth. I knew El D would be the one who stood up for the little guy. That day came when I was walking through the Swap-O-Rama in the suburbs of Chicago and I came across a mask. Not just any mask; THIS MASK. On that day, El D was born. From that day forth, I swore to be a better man and use my skills to make this world a better place. Tonight, I make this world a better place by taking out Maverick and his gluttonous use of curse words. Can you Diggit, Brother?

El Diablo Blanco posed as the picture-in-picture went away, bringing us back to the ring.

The bell rang and Maverick flew across the ring at El D. Before making contact, Maverick slid on the mat under the bottom rope to the outside. Maverick flipped El D off and the fans booed.

O’NEIL: I don’t think that was smart. El D hates adult language.

VALERIE: Maverick is getting in El D’s head. From what I understand there is plenty of space.

The Backyard Phenom did not take kindly to this and he was immediately through the ropes to the outside. Maverick took off and El D gave chase. Maverick rounded one of the ring posts and slid into the ring. El D was right in after him, but much slower and that left him open to receive a sliding dropkick to the face from Maverick.

VALERIE: Tricked! Mr. Blanco did not see that coming.

O’NEIL: Maverick is slippery as fuck. El D needs to be careful.

VALERIE: You dare curse in the presence of your beloved champion?

O’NEIL: Oh shit. Hopefully he didn’t hear me...

El D tried to rally up but Maverick caught him with a bicycle knee strike and then pulled him into a vicious snap suplex. El D was rocked by this early onslaught of offense. El D stumbled around the ring for a moment and was taken down with Sunset Overdrive (Running Blockbuster) from Maverick. The Diablo Nation was silent as the referee made the count but they erupted when El D kicked out at two.

Maverick flipped off the crowd but El D saw it. The Backyard Phenom went into a rage and chopped the holy hell out of Maverick. El D planted Maverick with a scoop slam and when Maverick popped right back up and El D hit him with a heavy dropkick. Maverick was taken by complete surprise and El D made his first cover of the match up but Maverick was able to kick out.

O’NEIL: How is El D so agile? I truly don’t understand it.

VALERIE: He is secretly a former Russian gymnast named Sergei.

O’NEIL: What?

VALERIE: What?

El D beckoned for Maverick to come at him. Maverick went for the lock up but El D took him down with an expert snap arm drag. Maverick got up to a knee, surprised by El D’s speed. Maverick shook it off and shot in on El D again but again the Livewire Champion took him down with a deep arm drag. Maverick would not get caught with this for a third time because when he rushed El D he got planted with a spinebuster.

The Citadel knew what was next as El D removed his elbow pad and chucked it into the crowd. He did all of the theatrics and then as he ran in for the elbow drop Maverick popped off the mat to his feet and then dropped El D with a lightning quick Blood Drive (Diving Mushroom Stomp). El D looked to be out as Maverick covered but El D kicked out right before the three.

VALERIE: You want to talk about agility look at the King!

Frustrated Maverick sat El D up and then put some distance between them. Just as El D was about to try and get up to a vertical base Maverick uncoiled and delivered the high impact Assassin's Blade (jumping thrust kick to the back of a seated opponent's head). El D looked to be out yet again and Maverick made another cover.

The Diablo Nation erupted -- El D had kicked out just before the three count again. Maverick grabbed at his own face in frustration. He could not believe the resilience of the Livewire Champion. Maverick’s expression slowly changed to a look of confidence. He knew what to do to finish El D off. Maverick got El D up and positioned him for Deus Ex Machina (Electric Chair Piledriver). Just as Maverick went to hit it, El D threw his weight forward and pinned Maverick with an Oklahoma roll! Maverick was trapped and the referee counted the three.

Winner: Still OATH Livewire Champion, El Diablo Blanco

“The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)” by Ylvis cued up and The Citadel cheered for their triumphant champion. El D cradled the Livewire Championship like it was the Holy Grail. Maverick rolled out of the ring and looked really pissed off that he got caught. El D raised the title high in the centre of the ring as Livewire 14 went off the air.

Results: • Cass Baumer & Cassidy Kane def. The Blacklist

• Summer Page def. Erika Crawford

• AJ Jenkynx def. Sydney St. Clair

• Kirios Hunt def. Angel Kash

• El Diablo Blanco def. Maverick; Still Livewire Champion
