DARK MATCH • Dynamic Duo def. The Lapalms after hitting Annie with the Dynamic Finish.

AJ Jenkynx was in a dark room sitting down. He looked like he was in a process of worshiping something. AJ looked at the camera.
JENKYNX: When you think of evil you should’ve thought of me. When you think of sins or sinners, you should’ve looked at me. But tonight I’m in a tag match with a person who is a witch in her words. But we believe in the same things and I guess we are going to make this work. But she better not get in my way. I’m sick and tired of people not taking me seriously. But I will show you all soon. When I’m in this match I will make them tap to the 7 Deadly Sins. And soon I will become a champion. And everybody will know who am I. And everybody will see my broken dreams.
AJ pointed out a tattoo of a saint he got. He looked so upset and angry. He began throwing chairs and punching things.
JENKYNX: This tattoo represents a part of me I’m glad is gone. The Saint was a man everybody liked. He was a person who tried to go back to heaven. He did everything for everybody. AND I’M FUCKING GLAD HE IS GONE! ALL THE PAIN I FELT, ALL THE PAIN OF BEING A PERSON WHO WANT PEOPLE TO LIKED HIM.
AJ calmed down a little bit. And he sat back down on this broken chair.
JENKYNX: I’m not going back… We all sinned.. We all fuck up at one point. But I fucked up a lot. And I sinned a lot. And now I’m here and I feel better being an asshole. And I feel better to be sinning. But tonight I will show you I’m not fucking around. But somebody is going down with the 7 Deadly Sins.

SINGLES MATCH JC Keeton vs. Aaron Kincade
The first contest of the evening saw JC Keeton make his televised in-ring debut. Granted last week he came out and beat up his supposed friend El Diablo Blanco but that she doesn’t count. Aaron Kincade made his entrance and as soon as he was in the ring Keeton hit him with a dropkick.
Kincade tried to rally back from the surprise attack but Keeton cracked him with a tornado kick and then took hold of Kincade’s arm. Keeton slapped Kincade in the chest and then ran up the ropes, stood on the top rope and then leaped off with a ropewalk armdrag.
VALERIE: That was quite impressive.
O’NEIL: He could give El Diablo Blanco a run for his money.
VALERIE: He certainly did last week.
At this point Livewire General Manager Bellamy Parteabon made her way to the ring and sat at the timekeeper’s table. Keeton saw this and gave her a nod just before he took Kincade over with a tiger suplex. Keeton hefted Kincade up to his feet and then hit Kincade with a half and half suplex.
VALERIE: Why is the general manager here?
O’NEIL: It appears that she is observing.
VALERIE: Clearly...but why this match?
Parteabon looked impressed as she sat ringside but Kincade fought back and hit Keeton with a surprise knee to the jaw. Keeton fell into a corner and Kincade charged at him. Parteabon looked displeased but that expression changed when Keeton cut Kincade off with a dropkick.
Keeton sat Kincade in the corner and then hit him with a hesitation dropkick to the face. Keeton turned to Parteabon and she gave a nod which saw Keeton react by vaulting over the top rope. Keeton allowed Kincade time to stand and then nailed him with Youth in Motion (Phenomenal Forearm). Keeton covered and secured the three count which got a small applause from Parteabon.
Winner: JC Keeton

SINGLES MATCH Kallie Reznik vs. Tyler War
“The Butterfly of the Aurora” Kallie Reznik was set to take on Tyler War next. War was coming off a victory last week and Reznik...was not. As per usual War came to the ring with his arrogant swagger and Reznik seemed to be out of sorts.
The two locked up with Reznik getting the early upper hand but War shoved her away and then turned his back on her to play to the crowd. This angered Reznik and she rushed War but he sidestepped her and sent her head first into the middle turnbuckle.
VALERIE: Kallie Reznik has yet to show her true potential. Many speculate whether or not we will ever see it.
O’NEIL: We could see it tonight.
War then yanked Reznik up to her feet and hit her with a knee to the midsection. War applied a front chancery and then lifted Reznik up high in the air with a vertical suplex. War held her there to show the crowd that he would only let her down when he wanted to. War then dropped Reznik with a brainbuster. War covered but Reznik kicked out at two.
“The Butterfly of the Aurora” scrambled up to her feet but she stumbled and caught herself on the middle rope. She was clearly rocked from that last hold but she chose to dart forward anyway but she found herself taken crashing into the mat with a t-bone suplex. War covered again but he broke his own pinfall at a count of two.
O’NEIL: Why the fuck did he just break his own pin?
VALERIE: To make a point.
War waved his finger in the air as if to gesture that he was not done yet. Reznik did not take this slight well and she charged at him again but he blasted her with a leaping enziguiri. Reznik was rocked again and War lifted her up and planted her with Death Before Dishonor (Cradle Shock). War covered and secured the three count.
Winner: Tyler War

TAG TEAM MATCH AJ Jenkynx & Jamie Emmerson vs. Ultramega UK
Last week “The Black Metal Witch” Jamie Emmerson was able to defeat “The Sinner” AJ Jenkynx. After their match Emmerson was attacked by Ultramega UK and to the surprise of pretty much everyone Jenkynx came to her aid. That set up this little slapper of a tag team match here tonight.
The contest started with Emmerson and Curt Kornell for their respective teams. Emmerson took the fight right to Kornell, hitting him with a series of chops, elbows, forearms, knees, and kicks that absolutely fucked Kornell up. Jenkynx paced on the apron like a caged animal as Emmerson sent Kornell into the ropes and then hit him with a clothesline.
O’NEIL: It seems that AJ Jenkynx is somewhat upset.
VALERIE: Enraged may be the proper word.
O’NEIL: I was being facetious.
Kornell was able to get to his corner and tag in Eddie Kobain, who shot into the ring with a dropkick on Emmerson. Jenkynx let out a roar of anger when Kobain connected and Emmerson rallied back to her feet. Kobain rushed Emmerson but she put him on the mat with a drop toe hold and then hit him with a dropkick to the back of the head.
“The Black Metal Witch” tagged in Jenkynx and Kobain looked extremely upset. Kobain swallowed his fear and met Jenkynx in the middle of the ring. Kobain went for a right hand but Jenkynx levelled him with a lariat and then got Kobain back up to his feet before he sent him clear across the ring with a German suplex.
VALERIE: I do not believe that Ultramega UK ever had a chance tonight.
O’NEIL: Do they ever?
VALERIE: Not really.
“The Sinner” started raining blows down on Kobain before he got him back up to his feet and lifted him up with a double chokehold. Jenkynx then slammed Kobain down to the mat with a double chokeslam. Kornell went to get into the ring but Jenkynx blasted him with a superkick that sent him over the top rope to the floor.
Jenkynx tagged Emmerson back in and then got Kobain up to his feet. Jenkynx hit Kobain with a stiff right hand and then Emmerson cracked Kobain with Athame (Hooking Superkick from behind). Within seconds Emmerson was up to the middle rope and she came off, hitting Kobain with Thessalian Crescent (Diving Corkscrew Cutter). Emmerson covered while Jenkynx stood guard and they picked up the victory.
Winners: Jamie Emmerson & AJ Jenkynx
Following the contest Emmerson gave Jenkynx a slight pat on the back and then exited the ring, leaving "The Sinner" there to revel in their victory.

SINGLES MATCH El Diablo Blanco vs. Qiyanna Marshal
The crowd went insane as “What Does The Fox Say?” cued up and The Citadel’s favourite luchador El Diablo Blanco made his way to the ring. Once in the ring Diablo Nation stood up for him and he seemed quite proud of the following that he had cultivated. When “The Blackhawk” Qiyanna Marshal came out the cheers and alike subsided considerably. Marshal did not seem to care.
Once the bell rang Marshal came at El D hard and fast following a lock up. Marshal forced him down into a headlock but El D turned that into a snap arm drag that popped the audience. Marshal snarled and went after him again but El D went for another arm drag! Marshal saw this coming and countered with a hip toss.
O’NEIL: El D may be the hip toss master here in OATH but people are starting to figure that out.
VALERIE: Senor Blanco has a very...concise moveset.
With El D seated on the mat, Marshal quickly hit the ropes and hit him with a dropkick to the back of the head. Marshal covered but El D kicked out at one, yet again popping the audience. Marshal looked to be getting angrier and angrier with every cheer in support of her opponent.
Marshal attempted to keep El D grounded with a chin lock but thanks to the cheering from The Citadel, El D was able to fight up to his feet. El D drove some spaced out elbows into Marshal’s midsection and with each one the crowd cheered louder. The final elbow broke Marshal’s grip and El D took off to hit the ropes but Marshal followed him in and stopped his momentum with a knee to the midsection.
O’NEIL: Qiyanna Marshal has yet to find her footing here in OATH. It seems that that fact is starting to irritate her.
VALERIE: How could it not?
“The Blackhawk” backed away and went to pop El D with a superkick but he moved and she got caught up on the top rope. El D then lifted Marshal up and took her over with a back suplex. The audience was as hot as ever now as El D stood up and called out to them. The shot switched to show Marshal’s face and she was beyond pissed off now.
El D went to get Marshal up but she popped him with an uppercut and then hit the ropes. On her return Marshal blasted El D with a spear and the audience booed her heavily. Marshal considered covering but the incessant cheers for El D made her mount him and start laying into him with heavy shots. Each strike conjured more boos from The Citadel.
O’NEIL: It seems that Qiyanna is fed up with the Diablo Nation.
VALERIE: And in turn Senor Blanco himself.
Marshal got up to her feet and started stomping on El D’s midsection relentlessly. The referee tried to intervene but she shoved him away. This momentary distraction allowed El D to get up and plant Marshal with a spinebuster! The audience exploded because they knew what was coming. El D positioned himself and then nailed Marshal with the Backyard Elbow (People’s Elbow). El D covered but Marshal kicked out at two.
“The Blackhawk” was done with this garbage. She was done with these people and this person that they have chosen to support. Marshal got up to her feet and raked El D’s eyes. Marshal then hit him with a superkick and dropped to her knees. Marshal started tearing at El D’s mask and The Citadel was furious. El D rolled onto his stomach and the referee intervened.
O’NEIL: I know that the referee is just doing his job but maybe now is not the time.
VALERIE: It is my feeling that he will regret that decision.
Marshal got in the referees face and backed him into a corner, screaming at him. The referee begged off and just as it looked like Marshal was going to strike the official -- El D was there to save the day! El D spun Marshal around and drove her head into the mat with a piledriver! The Citadel exploded and El D climbed to the top rope, played to the fans, and then leaped off with Feeling Froggy (Top Rope Splash)! El D covered and got the three count.
Winner: El Diablo Blanco
“What Does The Fox Say?” cued up and El D had his hand raised. He then made his way up the ramp to a chorus of cheers. Diablo Nation rejoiced. At the top of the ramp El D was met by Livewire General Manager Bellamy Parteabon who was clapping and she had a microphone.
PARTEABON: Congratulations El D. You have returned from the brink of obscurity with a victory! We were not sure how well you would do in OATH and yet here you stand, winning again. Perhaps if you spent less time pandering to your own personal sponsors you would be in this evening’s main event. Keep your eye on the prize El D. I’ll have my eyes on you.
Parteabon then dropped the microphone and disappeared behind the curtain, leaving El D more than confused about what he just heard.

The cameras cut onto the top of the roof of the arena yes the roof of the arena… Where Megan Coleman was seen with another woman standing beside her around the middle of the roof area. Megan had her cell phone out and seemed to have it on speaker as she held it out so both her and the other woman could hear it.
VOICE: I love you both and you Megan tonight it’s your night kiddo this is what you have been working for since you left the mixed martial arts world to jump to wrestling.
COLEMAN: I know dad and both me and your other daughter love you both too. In fact me and Cindy are actually on top of a roof right now kind of just taking in the sky and the stars.
CINDY: Hey dad don’t worry I won’t let her break anything before her big match.
A little bit of laughter came from Megan and her sister Cindy but on the phone their Dad kind of groaned then was just real quiet for a moment.
COLEMAN: Something the matter dad?
CINDY: Yeah everything okay pop?
Father: Girls I raised you both to be winners and I realize I was hard on you and always pushing the hell out of both of you but I can honestly say knowing how far both of you have come that I am a proud father. But, so help me if Megan trips or does anything up on that bloody roof before her match I will be an angry father.
COLEMAN: Dad I am Miss Safety no need to worry.
CINDY: Yeah totally no reason to worry pop.
Megan and Cindy both laughed a little under their breath.
FATHER: Okay first you are both smart asses because I know you are both daredevils you have been your entire life which is why I am a bit worried about you being on the roof right now. I mean Megan has the biggest wrestling match of her life against that Minoru Tanahashi fellow.
CINDY: Dad I know I am just a personal trainer because I decided to stop after eight fights in the mixed martial arts world due to getting married and wanting a family but I can tell from my past with big fights that Megan is ready.
COLEMAN: Can you now?
CINDY: Yes, I can see that fire in your eyes and tonight is going to be a Coleman night.
Megan nodded her head but did it in a very slowly in an almost not so sure type of way as she then walked over to the other side of the roof deciding to step out onto the ledge and just stood there looking down.
CINDY: Uh… Daddy I gotta go but watch the match and root on our girl!
FATHER: Well Cindy you make sure our Megan is mentally ready for the battle ahead as the man she is facing will be one very tough challenge. Now Megan I love you and no matter what I am proud of you.
CINDY: Oh Dad she is talking to one of the uh…crew people now something about her outfit so she says she loves you to and enjoy the show.
FATHER: Alright Cindy I love you as well I will be watch.
Cindy hit the end call button on the phone then placed the phone in her pocket. Her eyes were glued over on her younger sister Megan. She slowly walked towards Megan who was still standing on the ledge and now actually placing one leg up in the air just a little bit with her hands together.
CINDY: Meg… What uh are you doing there sweetie?
COLEMAN: I am meditating from a very high up and nerve racking place.
CINDY: I see… Uh but why?
COLEMAN: Too see if I can clear my mind despite the obstacle that is currently in front of me.
Cindy nodded like she got it but really you can tell she did not.
CINDY: Done yet?
COLEMAN: Sigh…
Megan placed the leg that was lifted a bit down back onto the ledge then turned her body around to face her sister Cindy.
CINDY: What’s up?
COLEMAN: I uh don’t know if I can win this one…
CINDY: What? Oh stop playing around.
COLEMAN: I am not playing around. Self doubt has creeped into my head.
CINDY: Well it needs to creep the hell out of there then.
COLEMAN: I know… But, Mino is a great man it seems and just one amazing wrestler.
CINDY: Well it’s not a date honey it’s a fight.
Cindy laughed hoping Megan would as well but Megan had no expression what so ever.
COLEMAN: He has wrestling experience on me and he is fast so very fast.
CINDY: Megan Coleman you look at me right dead in the eyes.
Megan slowly nodded and then looked her sister dead in the eyes.
CINDY: You stop that. No doubt and no worries tonight.
COLEMAN: I am trying…
CINDY: Well try harder because damn it you are Meg “hands of steel” Coleman and even Mino as you call him will not be able to withstand that.
COLEMAN: Yeah keep talking…
CINDY: He might be a great wrestler but he is not the fighter that Meg Coleman is no sir.
COLEMAN: You are not wrong.
CINDY: He might be fast but damn it you are faster. I have watched you from martial arts as an almost child to now and I know how fast you can be.
COLEMAN: Also true yeah you are right.
CINDY: YOU CAN WIN AND WILL WIN!
COLEMAN: Sigh.. I am damn sure going to do my very best.
Cindy rolls her eyes but then shrugs her shoulders.
CINDY: I guess I will take it.
COLEMAN: Tonight if all goes as I hope I walk out still undefeated and the first ever Livewire Champion.
CINDY: History that’s history and tonight you make it baby girl!
Megan smiled at her sister nodding her head and then slammed her right fist into her left hand. She then gave the head motion to her sister saying basically alright let's get off this roof. So that’s what the two sisters did, they walk to the exit door and back inside the arena.

TAG TEAM MATCH Hanzogun vs. The Mancini Syndicate
The penultimate match was up next as Himari and Eiji Hanzo, Hanzogun, made their debut against Viola Mancini and Janica Jayden, the Mancini Syndicate. The match began with Himari and Jayden in the ring trading strikes until Jayden got the upperhand following a snap ddt.
Jayden made the tag to Mancini and the two stomped relentlessly on Himari. The Syndicate gathered her up and sent her into the corner. Jayden ran in and smashed Himari with a Yakuza kick and then Mancini followed it up with a running clothesline into the corner transitioned into a running bulldog. Mancini covered but Himari was able to kick out.
O’NEIL: I do not know much about Hanzogun but I know that they are getting their asses kicked right now.
VALERIE: An astute observation.
Mancini tried to pepper Himari with some shots but Himari blocked them all and then cracked Mancini with a kick to the side of the head. Himari dove across the ring and tagged in her uncle Eiji. Eiji entered the ring like a house of fire but snuffed that out with a windmill kick.
At this point Mancini was able to keep Eiji on the mat with a Rolling Single Leg Boston Crab. Mancini wrenched back and Eiji reached out for his niece but he was stuck in the middle of the ring. Mancini then walked Eiji still in the hold to her corner and tagged in Jayden.
VALERIE: The team fluidity that we are seeing right now is exceptional.
O’NEIL: Well they want another crack at The Runaways and they are showing that here.
Jayden hit Eiji with a pendulum backbreaker and then held her in place as Mancini came off the top rope with a diving leg drop. Jayden covered and Himari tried to break up the fall but Mancini speared her to the mat and Jayden was able to get the three count.
Winners: Mancini Syndicate

We went back to the announce desk with Vince Valerie and May O’Neil who had a wide smile as she looked over at her co-commentator
O’NEIL: Hello folks, right now we want to to take you to a video, and Vince it’s from one of your favorite wrestlers, Minoru Tanahashi
VALERIE: Oh god, what are him and the giant furry rodent up to this week. I went to Pillar and Post a few weeks ago, and he had drawn penises all over the Vince Valerie VIP stool.
O’NEIL: I didn’t know that they had that at Pillar and Post.
VALERIE: I brought it myself? Just go to the blasted video of this damn fool so he can lose his blasted match and go to hell.
We went to the screen where a video of a very large luxurious house lit up the screen. We slowly movde through the house, admiring the granite countertops, stainless steel top of the line appliances, massive leather couches, a small home theatre with the reclining loungers, a glimpse of the infinity style pool could be seen as we move into a smaller room. Simple dark hardwood floors with cabinets along the sidewalls and a set of shelves along the back, the wood all matching the floor, with the cabinets having simple glass doors. Lights shone down on all of them and below the shelves, we saw several boxes marked, titles or trophies. Minoru Tanahashi stepped into the room, dressed down quite a bit in black basketball shorts, a green tank top and his soon to be on sale Black Lion towel/scarf. He looked at the camera, smirked, and then opened up one of the boxes and pulled out a title belt that read International Wrestling & Grappling Project TV Champion.
MINORU: Hi everybody, now you say Hi Dr. Nick and those of us older than twenty five have a little chuckle. Seriously, hello from the new Minoru Manor, just a little bit outside of Toronto. That’s right Canada, I’m your problem now. I hope you liked the quick tour of the house before coming into the Hall of Achievement. I think that sounds cooler than the trophy room. Probably wondering why you’re here though. I already showed off titles on Twitter, wasn’t that enough. Maybe for some, but I felt like a proper audio and visual presentation would really drive home my point.
He set the title on the left side of the shelf and then bought out a belt that simply said NEVER across it with Trios De Campeon underneath. He placed that one on the right side of the shelf then brought out a beautiful gold belt with a bright white strap that reads Japan Premier Wrestling, International Champion. He put it down in the middle and the shelf was now full.
MINORU: Full disclosure, I set this box up top for a reason. All three of these titles were won in tournaments. That TV title was won in a one night eight man tournament. Those Trios titles were fun, they were won in a twelve-team tournament over three nights. Six matches, then three, then a trios triple dance. Those were fun, showed resilience and the Trios showed that I can work well with others. The one I’m most proud of though, the belt I was never meant to have.
I had been back in Japan for maybe a year after a three year excursion in all sorts of places, a stalwart for the company was injured, I was asked to replace him, with the expectation that I would be out in the first round, maybe second. I certainly wasn’t the guy they thought would win the thirty-two men tournament to crown the champion that would usher in their new television deal. At least that’s what everyone thought. Then I made it through the first round, and the second, and then the third, and then there I was in the finals against a decorated MMA and professional wrestling champion, Manako Tamaguchi. A man they said had hands of stone, feet like razor wire, and a heart of ice. My opponent at hashtag Oath four reminds me of him quite a bit. Well she doesn’t have the heart of ice and she’s far prettier, but with her MMA influenced style. So another reason to show this off.
Minoru grabbed a stool from beside the cabinet on the left wall and sat down as he opened up the box and pulled out a trophy, a large silver cup with gold grapplers inlaid on it and a small globe on top.
MINORU: You see Megan when I said that I have the experience edge, it was not meant in any negative way, it is simply a matter of fact. I have traveled this globe many times over. I have wrestled in front of tens of thousands, and I have wrestled in front of ten. Along the way I have won TV titles, International Titles, Intercontinental, Tag, Trios, United States, European, Pacific Coast, All Pacific, and Japanese heavyweight titles. I’ve won World cups, deadly draws, Young Guns, Tag Team, Trios, and King of Chicken Wing’s trophies. I have wrestled sore more times than I can count, injured more times than I should have, and once when I was hungover and had the flu. All of this, the importance of our match at Livewire, it is not new to me, and it is not lost on me.
After giving the title a polish with a simple shammy, he placed it on the bottom shelf, then pulled the Young Guns trophy he had mentioned earlier. Fairly simple, wood base, gold plates with the name on the front and previous winners. It was completed with two crossed guns on top of it.
MINORU: That one, I won it the day before I was kicked out of the company because the boss found out I had celebrated my win with his twin daughters. Still, it was impressive considering I was still in the dojo system and it was a six man round robin tournament that I swept. You see Megan, all of these, all those wins, all those crazy tournaments, that’s what I am talking about when I say I have the experience edge over you. I have been near the top, I have been at the bottom, and now I want to reach that mountain top. I will win at Livewire, I will become the first ever Livewire Champion, I will defend it week after week, show after show until I have racked up enough defenses to challenge for every other singles title, I will win those and then and only then, will the Path To Greatness be completed. Nobody is knocking me off of this path Megan, no matter what I have to do to stay on it.
He turned to the camera and looked straight ahead, no laughter, no jovial mood, just a serious and determined Black Lion.

WILDCARD SERIES: FINALS OATH LIVEWIRE CHAMPIONSHIP
SINGLES MATCH Meg Coleman vs. Minoru Tanahashi
It was time for the finals of the Wildcard Series as Megan “Hands of Steel” Coleman took on “The Black Lion” Minoru Tanahashi to determine who would become the first OATH Livewire Champion. Both competitors were in the ring staring one another down as the referee presented the prize to each of them. Coleman looked at it longingly and then turned her attention back to Tanahashi, who simply returned her gaze.
The bell sounded and the two came to the center of the ring. There was a brief staredown with maybe a foot of space between them when Tanahashi went to throw the first punch. Coleman easily blocked it, her striking background a little more advanced than her opponent’s. Coleman answered with a hard kick to Tanahashi’s left knee that buckled him and then she went for a knee to his face but Tanahashi caught it and shoved her backward.
VALERIE: I do not care for Mr. Tanahashi. I believe that his twenty eight consecutive win “quest” is foolhardy and absurd.
O’NEIL: We know how you feel about him but he has so far been successful.
VALERIE: It will only take one punch from Ms. Coleman to end this.
O’NEIL: She has shown that ability in the past.
Tanahashi rushed Coleman but she shifted her position and then drove her knee into his midsection. Tanahashi was gasping for air when Coleman introduced his face to a top turnbuckle. Coleman did this three more times before Tanahashi was momentarily subdued. Coleman took Tanahashi’s left leg and draped it over the middle rope. She took two steps back and then kicked him in the thigh. Tanahashi let out in pain and then dropped onto his back in the corner.
“Hands of Steel” was focussed, she was a laser beam of malicious intent as she spun Tanahashi around and then slipped to the outside. Coleman then quickly pulled both of Tanahashi’s legs on either side of the ring post and after a moment of calculation, she applied a ring post figure four! The referee started a five count but every second he counted resulted in excruciating pain for Tanahashi. At the count of four Coleman released the hold and then slipped back into the ring.
O’NEIL: That is definitely going to be a difference maker in this match. While technically an illegal hold, she released it before the five count.
VALERIE: That is definitely not an MMA strategy. It appears that someone has been teaching her the finer points of high level wrestling.
O’NEIL: So it would seem.
Coleman went for a cover but Tanahashi was able to kick out. Coleman kept Tanahashi grounded with some strikes but on the fourth strike Tanahashi caught her arm and transitioned into an arm bar! Coleman was trapped and Tanahashi ripped at her left arm with all of his might. Coleman was able to get her feet on the bottom rope but the damage was done.
Tanahashi stood and ten laid Coleman’s left arm on the mat. After a few well placed stomps Tanahashi got Coleman off of the mat but he was hobbling. Tanahashi whipped Coleman into a corner and then followed that up with a running palm strike that took Coleman off her feet, however, she caught herself in the corner. Tanahashi measured Coleman and then charged in to hit her with a leaping knee strike to the chin. Coleman dropped, Tanahashi dragged her out of the corner and covered for a two count.
O’NEIL: Do you see the way that Minoru is hobbling? Coleman has effectively slowed his pace.
VALERIE: Target a body part. Basic stuff.
“The Black Lion” had a smirk on his face as he got Coleman off the mat and went for a snap suplex but Coleman hooked her leg around his. Having more experience in actual wrestling, Tanahashi released the front chancery, hit a knife edged chop, and then was able to take Coleman over with a snap suplex. Tanahashi tried to float over into a cover but Coleman rolled onto her stomach. Not wanting to give up his advantage, Tanahashi attempted a rear naked choke but Coleman threw back some elbows into his left leg and he was unable to apply it.
Coleman bucked Tanahashi off and he fell forward, catching himself on the middle rope. Coleman saw her opportunity and she darted forward with a shotgun dropkick to the back of Tanahashi’s head. Tanahashi rebounded back onto the mat and Coleman covered for a two count. Tanahashi kicked out but Coleman immediately transitioned into an ankle lock!
O’NEIL: Minoru is in Meg’s world now. He has submissions in his repertoire but she is far more experienced in that realm.
VALERIE: Perhaps in an MMA capacity but this is not MMA.
O’NEIL: Well duh.
Tanahashi screamed out in pain, the damage done to his left leg was considerable and he was reaching for the ropes. He was nearly there and a look of great concern developed on Coleman’s face. Unsure of exactly what to do, Coleman fell onto her back and grapevined Tanahashi’s leg. “The Black Lion” desperately tried to reach the ropes and he was close, but not close enough. Coleman twisted Tanahashi’s leg with all of her might but that seemed to give Tanahashi the mental push he needed to crawl that last inch and grasp the bottom rope.
“Hands of Steel” was breathing hard now but she had to press her advantage. Coleman grabbed Tanahashi’s left leg but he kicked her in the midsection with his right! Tanahashi hobbled up to his feet and threw a punch but Coleman blocked it. She went to throw one of her own but Tanahashi slipped through and clobbered her with Kabukicho Nights (Discus Lariat)! Coleman was levelled and Tanahashi covered. The referee was about an inch away from the mat when Coleman kicked out.
O’NEIL: A near fall for Minoru!
VALERIE: Ms. Coleman may just not be ready to ascend to this level, despite her sterling record.
Tanahashi was desperate now as he got Coleman up. Tanahashi called out to the fans in The Citadel but their support was split at this point. Tanahashi drove a knee into Coleman’s stomach and then set her up for Black Lion Bomb (Tiger Driver 98) but Coleman slipped out, hit the ropes and came back with a Superwoman Punch! Tanahashi was clobbered but he flew back and rolled under the bottom rope to the outside, landing with a thud.
Coleman grabbed at her face in frustration. She couldn’t believe her luck. She had no choice but to go to the outside. As she went to slip out of the ring, Tanahashi was there to hit her with a desperation forearm shot to the face. Tanahashi then pulled the ring apron over her body and started hammering her with shots to the face. Tanahashi then slipped her back into the ring.
VALERIE: Perhaps I have been wrong about Mr. Tanahashi! He is doing what needs to be done to win!
O’NEIL: I guess you could make the argument that what he just did was no different than the ringpost figure four.
VALERIE: I would make that argument.
Once back in the ring Tanahashi advanced on Coleman but she kicked at his bad left leg and then planted him with ace Equals Mat (Double Arm DDT)! The crowd cheered for her as Coleman covered but again she only got a two count. The audience could not believe it. Coleman was gassed but she went after Tanahashi again only for him to roll her up! Tanahashi had hold of her tights and the referee counted to three!
Winner: New OATH Livewire Champion, Minoru Tanahashi
"Heat Seeker" by DREAMERS feat. grandson rang out throughout the arena and Tanahashi was awarded the Livewire Championship. He could barely stand and the audience was mostly booing him because of the nefarious way in which he won the title. Tanahashi did not seem to give a shit because he had his prize and could now add it to his Hall of Achievement. The Path of Greatness would continue.
