Episode 7
September 16th, 2020
The Citadel in Toronto, Ontario
DARK MATCH • Johnny Draco def. Scribbles

From black the words “TAKE THE PLEDGE” appeared on the screen and then cross faded into the OATH signature. “Cheap Talk” by Death From Above 1979 kicked up and the Livewire opening video kicked up showing various action shots from previous events. The final shot was a montage of everyone on tonight’s card. The montage with OATH Livewire Champion, “The Black Metal Witch” Jamie Emmerson seated in a dark room, surrounded by lit candles, and the Livewire Title sitting in her lap.
The pyro and ballyhoo was RAMPANT and we saw the inside of The Citadel on this warm Wednesday night. The Torontonian fans were jacked the fuck up and the Livewire theme music was nearly drowned out by the noise from the crowd.
Cut to ringside and we saw our announce team seated behind their desk. May O’Neil and Vince Valerie looked pleased as punch to be bringing you another hot and ready episode of Livewire.
O’NEIL: Wrestling fans welcome to Livewire 7! My name is May O’Neil and the man sitting to my right is the “Gentleman Gent” Vince Valerie. There I said it, are you happy now Vince?
VALERIE: I am elated! I just want all of our lovely fans to know that I am every bit the gentleman. Thank you for your endorsement May!
O’NEIL: I mean you paid me a hundred bucks to do it.
VALERIE: Yes. I could never be bought in such a way because I have integrity. Never-the-less, I appreciate you making good on our deal May.
O’NEIL: Are you saying that I don’t have integrity?
VALERIE: I can’t help what you infer. That is a you thing.
O’NEIL: Right. Well tonight we have five incredible matches to offer up wrestling fans. The main event tonight will see the new Livewire Champion attempt her first defence of that title when Jamie Emmerson defends against Super Tiger!
VALERIE: Some would call Jamie’s victory at Event Horizon II an upset when she defeated Minoru Tanahashi and ended his Path To Greatness. Those people would be wrong because when you have the keen wrestling mind that I do --- you’d have seen it coming.
O’NEIL: Fuck me you are something. Anyway, we’re gonna get to the action -- ramblers, let’s get ramblin’!

The camera came to life in the locker room to a young Asian woman with shoulder length dark brown hair. She was pulling on her knee length wrestling boots when she looked up and smiled into the lens.
SUPER TIGER: Kon'nichiwa OATH Pro roster and audience! My name is Risa Saito Jackson, but most of you probably know me by a different name!”
She sat up, reaching into her bag, and pulled on her eponymous Tiger mask, bearing the Super mark on her forehead. She reached behind her head, and begins to tie the mask tight.
SUPER TIGER: That’s right! It’s me, the Super Tiger!
Super Tiger giggled, finishing tying the mask. She slapped both of her cheeks, looking into the camera with a wide grin and intensity in her eyes.
SUPER TIGER: Tonight, I face off against the OATH Livewire Champion, Jamie Emmerson! Now, I’m not going to lie to anyone. I personally don’t know much about Jamie outside of the training we’ve done with one another under the tutelage of FM Young. We’ve sparred, sure, but we’ve never gone head to head, full contact before!
The Diminutive Dynamo began pacing back and forth, a spring in her step to show her excitement.
SUPER TIGER: This is my first singles match outside of my debut, and it’s for a championship! Do you understand how exciting that is?! Now, unlike our colleague Mr. Minoru Tanahashi, I won’t downplay anything to do with my opponent. I’m actually going to praise her!
The luchadora nodded again, slapping her cheeks with a laugh.
SUPER TIGER: Jamie, in her short time with us at FM’s facility, has proven she’s more than ready to take on any challenge placed before her inside that squared circle! However…
Super Tiger looked into the camera with a smirk and a wink.
SUPER TIGER: I’m not just any challenge! Many of you already knew who I was when I signed on that dotted line to join the roster here at OATH. A lot of people took to me very quickly when I debuted back in October, and my name and reputation spread like wildfire throughout the wrestling world here in the United States! I’ve got friends everywhere, and that included right here at OATH.
The Asian girl shook her head, her smile slowly fading.
SUPER TIGER: But that’s just my reputation. And, quite honestly, reputation doesn’t mean jack squat when it comes to facing off against someone head to head inside of that ring. Whether she’d been doing this for a month or a decade, I still would have stepped in between those ropes and put everything I have in me on the line to come out on top! Jamie! You better do the same!
Super Tiger nodded emphatically, practically hopping in place.
SUPER TIGER: We’re the main event of LIVEWIRE 7. That’s a big deal! No matter what company you work for, which show you work for, heck, what division you’re in, the main event? That’s the goal! So! Working against you full contact will be a totally new experience for me. But I know you. I’ve seen you watching tape on my past matches to prepare for this. Do you think that you’re ready for my speed? My Strong Style? My unpredictability?! I sure hope so! Let’s be honest, it’s no fun if it isn’t pushing me past my limits each and every time I step through those ropes, and I know as a student of FM Young, you won’t let me down!
There was the sound of a honk in the background, and the camera panned over to show Volta, FM’s pet capybara, looking up at Super Tiger expectantly. Tiggy giggled, crouching down and scratching the giant rodent behind the ears.
SUPER TIGER: Don’t worry Volta! I’ll make sure to get you some popcorn before my match starts! I already have it over there!
Super Tiger pointed off camera, and the capybara honked excitedly, running out of frame. The luchadora turned back toward the cameraman, that look of burning desire and intensity in her eyes as she raised one hand high, pointing at the ceiling, the other forming a peace sign next to her face. She cleared her throat.
SUPER TIGER: Ever changing! Never stopping! Always evolving!
The Diminutive Dynamo lowered her raised hand pointing into the camera with a huge smile on her face. She winked.
SUPER TIGER: Jamie Emmerson! OATH LIVEWIRE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH!
Now both hands were raised at the ceiling, and the Asian was staring up into the locker room lights.
SUPER TIGER: SUPER TIGER RESU! GOOOOO!!!
The camera faded to black.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Nero Darkbringer & Nas vs. Ultramega UK
It was tag team action up next as the mentor/mentee combination of Nas and Nero Darkbringer went head to head with the grunge group Ultramega UK. It looked like Nas was going to start the match against Eddie Kobain but Darkbringer blind tagged himself in -- Nas was not impressed.
O’NEIL: It seems that the student wants to show what he can do.
VALERIE: Of course he does! He is the future! Nas is the past. Also...is his whole deal cultural appropriation? Is this even cultural appropriation? I wonder how Mr. Jones feels about this…
O’NEIL: I doubt that he cares.
Kobain and Darkbringer started off by exchanging strikes back and forth but Darkbringer took the power back with a swinging reverse STO that sent Kobain hard into the canvas. Darkbringer stalked Kobain and then decided that it might be fun to charge and knock Curt Kornell off of the apron.
VALERIE: Looks like Mr. Darkbringer knows something of tag team wrestling.
Darkbringer planted Kobain with a death valley driver and then tagged in his mentor Nas. Nas entered the ring and got a decent pop from The Citadel -- the man’s storied career had preceded him. Nas let Kobain get to his feet and when he did, Nas launched himself at the grunge enthusiast and blasted him with Savage Strike (Superman Punch).
The veteran climbed to the top rope as Darkbringer cheered him on. Nas came off the top rope with Angelic Fury (Diving Moonstomp)! Right into Kobain’s midsection and the audience popped. Rather than go for the cover, Nas wanted to put an exclamation point on this potential victory.
O’NEIL: Like most Ultramega UK matches, this is not going to last long.
VALERIE: You do not know that! They could easily come back in this contest.
O’NEIL: I doubt it.
VALERIE: I doubt you!
O’NEIL: What?
Nas got Kobain up in a fireman’s carry and then blasted him with Ether (Go To Sleep)! Kobain was clearly out cold but Darkbringer made another blind tag! Darkbringer climbed to the top rope and came down on Kobain with C U IN HELL! (Diving Headbutt)! Darkbringer covered and Kornell tried to enter the ring to break up the fall but got hit with an Ether Classic (Yakuza Kick) from Nas.

Winners: Nas & Nero Darkbringer
"When You're Evil" by Voltaire cued up and the student/teacher combo had their hands raised. Ultramega UK regrouped on the outside, yet another loss in their shitty OATH careers.

SINGLES MATCH Kirios Hunt vs. Tatsuo Naka
The next contest of the evening saw “The Huntress” Kirios Hunt take on Tatsuo Naka. The bell sounded and the two competitors came together in the center of the ring with a lock up. Hunt peppered Naka with some body shots and then hit him with an impressive float over ddt.
O’NEIL: There has been high praise for Kirios Hunt so far. She was defeated by Qiyanna Marshal last week on the Event Horizon Kickoff show but a win here tonight could get her right back into Livewire Title contention.
VALERIE: How do you figure?
O’NEIL: The title has to be defended every week. A few wins in a row usually earns someone a shot.
The Huntress paraded around the ring and Naka darted toward her but Hunt caught him and planted him with a spinebuster that she transitioned into a body scissors. Naka let out in pain but Hunt had him locked in. Hunt then transitioned into an armbar but Naka got to the ropes.
VALERIE: I thought that Tatsuo Naka would be something special but he has been -- unspecial.
O’NEIL: Your vocabulary is astounding.
VALERIE: I am just getting warmed up. Please.
Naka took refuge in a corner but Hunt hit him with a running knee to the lower back. She then took him out of the corner with a full nelson slam. Naka tried to rally back but Hunt cracked him with a Superman punch that sent him back into the corner.
O’NEIL: Naka is getting WORKED.
Hunt lit Naka’s lower back up with some fast roundhouse kicks. Naka tried to fight out but Hunt took him down to the mat with a double leg takedown and she quickly applied Bow Down (Liontamer). Naka lasted in the hold for only a few moments before he was forced to submit.
Winner: Kirios Hunt

In a pre-recorded segment OATH Vice President Oscar R. Barlow stood in his office -- which had been cleaned up by the janitorial staff after Reo Ojima had trashed it in celebration due to his successful World Championship defense against James Edwards at Event Horizon II.
BARLOW: Greetings wrestling fans! It is I, Oscar R. Barlow and I have returned to OATH as the new overseer of Livewire. I just wanted to address a few things for you, I promise I will not take up too much of your time because there is too much great wrestling action to get to!
Barlow winked obnoxiously at the camera.
BARLOW: My predecessor Bellamy Parteabon made some -- interesting deals with talent. In particular, she told JC Keeton that should he defeat El Diablo Blanco at Event Horizon II, she would expunge his record of all losses. Unfortunately, I can not honor that deal. So instead, I spoke with my brother-in-law Tommy Straker and we decided that he would receive an opportunity to win the Tabula Rasa Championship next week on Conviction. Sounds fair to me!
Finger guns. What a nerd.
BARLOW: Another announcement that I want to make is that next week we will have two tag team matches. The winners of those matches will face off in two weeks to determine the number one contenders for the OATH Tag Team Championship! One of those matches has already been determined as the Dynamic Duo will take on the team of Nas and Nero Darkbringer! The other match has yet to be decided. The winners of this small series will receive their opportunity on a future episode of Conviction. Lots to look forward to but for now, let’s get back to the action. Thanks friends.
Barlow held up his index finger...indicating that he was number one or you are number one or something like that. Who knows, who cares.

#1 CONTENDERSHIP: LIVEWIRE TITLE SINGLES MATCH Kasey Kash vs. Kallie Reznik
It was time to determine the next challenger for the Livewire Championship as “The Resident Asshole” Kasey Kash took on “The Butterfly of Aurora” Kallie Reznik. Both competitors came to the ring and Kash got a great reaction from the fans in The Citadel despite his...prickly nature. Reznik was out next and The Citadel cheered for her as well. Who do they like better? Who cares, it’s wrestling time.
O’NEIL: The last time these two faced off Reznik was able to pick up the victory.
VALERIE: This evening the stakes are much higher. The winner will receive a Livewire Championship match next week against either Super Tiger or Jamie Emmerson. I hope they know that!
O’NEIL: They were definitely informed. What are you talking about?
VALERIE: Maybe they did not get the memo.
The two locked up and Kash sent Reznik into the ropes. Reznik darted back and slipped through Kash’s legs. Reznik pushed him into the ropes and then looked for an O’Connor roll but Kash kicked out immediately and then set Reznik up for a death valley driver but Reznik grabbed the top rope.
Kash dumped Reznik out onto the apron and went to advance but Reznik caught him with a rope hanging kick and then hit a springboard missile dropkick to put Kash on his back. Reznik went for a cover but Kash rolled out onto the apron. Reznik joined cash on the apron and hit him with a succession of forearm shivers but Kash caught her and dropped her with a flatliner onto the apron!
O’NEIL: What a move from Kasey Kash!
VALERIE: If her nose is broken she should speak with me. I have a great nose guy.
O’NEIL: An ears, nose, and throat guy?
VALERIE: No. He is all nose. He is focussed.
The Resident Asshole got Reznik back into the ring and went for a cover but Reznik grabbed the bottom rope before the referee could start the count. Kash stomped on her arm and then lifted her up only to plant her into the mat with a sky high! Kash then went to the corner and hit Reznik with a best moonsault ever! Kash hooked the leg.

O’NEIL: Reznik kicks out!
Reznik kicked out and Kash begged for her to get back up. When she did he went for a C4 but Reznik hit him with some elbows to the side of the head to break his grip. Reznik shoved Kash into the ropes and on his return she drilled him with Elysium (Running Bicycle Kick)! Kash dropped and Reznik covered.

2..!
VALERIE: Kash kicks out!
O’NEIL: Don’t copy me.
VALERIE: When have you ever said anything like that? Please.
Kash kicked out now and Reznik immediately went to show him a moonsault of her own. Reznik took hold of the top ropes at the corner junction and she went for Split The Styx (Split-Legged Moonsault) but Kash rolled out of the way. Both competitors were back up now and Kash hit the Canberra Collapse (Springboard Cutter)!
Wanting to end this one with a big move, Kash ascended to the top rope and tried for a swanton bomb but Reznik was able to move out of the way this time. Reznik grabbed Kash by the wrist and packaged him up with a la magistral cradle. The referee dropped to make the count.
VALERIE: Mr. Kash has nowhere to go!
O’NEIL: Mr. Kash has nowhere to go!
VALERIE: Do not be so childish.

2..
..!
Kash barely kicked out and the audience was on the edge of their respective seats for this fast paced contest. Reznik climbed to the top rope and leaped off looking for Asphodel Files (Dragonrana) but Kash caught her and turned it into a lightning quick buckle bomb!
O’NEIL: Reznik is on wobbly legs right now.
VALERIE: My oh my!
O’NEIL: Thank you for adding such sterling commentary.
VALERIE: You are extremely unpleasant.
Reznik staggered out of the corner and Kash saw his opportunity. The Resident Asshole grabbed Reznik by the wrist and then hit her with a ripcord bicycle knee. Reznik dropped into a seated position and Kash took off for the ropes, coming back with the Aussie Knee Party (Last Shot)! Kash covered.

Winner: Kasey Kash
"RestInPeace" by Bones cued up and Kash had his hand raised. Knowing that he had a title shot ready and waiting for him, Kash climbed up to the middle rope and gestured to the crowd in The Citadel that the Livewire title was coming home with him next week.

We saw "Lady Limitless" Alex Andrews herself sitting on a production crate. Her features were locked in a pensive state, but definitely focusing on the task at hand. She knew this match coming was big for her, she knew what it represented and she would have to dig deep in order to get past the likes of AJ Jenkynx. But she also knew that she could get it done, she KNEW it. After a few seconds, she flicked her gaze to the camera with a warm smile.
ALEX: Hi guys. I'm sure most of y'all don't know me, and why should y'all? I'm new. Heck, I've only been at this for a few months now. Let me introduce myself. I am Alex Andrews. And I am Lady Limitless.
She let out a bit of a giggle and shrugged her shoulders a little bit.
ALEX: I know what y'all are thinking, that sounds a bit cliche, especially for someone so new. But the way I see it, I'm a clean slate and who knows how far I'll go? I can tell you this, it's going to be a fun ride!
Alex winked at the camera and then she shook her head as she tried to focus on the task at hand.
ALEX: I don't exactly have the easiest way to start things off, but nothing worth doing is easy, right? I've got AJ Jenkynx and that is no small task, especially in his current frame of mind. He's lost his last two matches and is a giant ball of frustration and anger waiting to take his anger out on me. I know this and I expect him to come out at me guns blazing, ready to mow me down in no time flat. But I'll be ready for his onslaught. While I might be the new kid on the block, I'm no slouch. I'm also calm under pressure, not so sure that can be said about others...
Alex inhaled a deep breath and let it out.
ALEX: So yes, AJ is bigger and stronger than me. So what? Most everyone in my career is going to be. And so, I've been trained for just that type of scenario. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, right? And that frustration, that anger boiling up inside is going to make him make mistakes. He'll lose focus and miss opportunities, I won't hesitate to exploit. And I'm going to make my trainer proud, show them I've put in the work and can adapt and overcome. I CAN do this.
Alex raised a fist up to the camera, trying to look all fierce. After a moment, she turned and looked around.
ALEX: Now where's Kallie...?

SINGLES MATCH Alex Andrews vs. AJ Jenkynx
The next contest saw “Lady Limitless” Alex Andrews look to continue her winning ways as she took on a man who needed desperately to get back into the win column, “The Sinner” AJ Jenkynx. Andrews came to the ring and played up to the fans -- they were very receptive to her positive attitude. What they weren’t receptive to was The Sinner. Jenkynx stomped to the ring with a look on his face that practically screamed murder.
O’NEIL: AJ is a scary individual.
VALERIE: Understatement of the year! If he can get on a roll then he could be a very big name here in OATH.
Jenkynx got into the ring and immediately went after Andrews. Andrews looked surprised at Jenkynx’s ferocity and she was just able to roll through a clothesline. Andrews pounced back with a succession of forearm smashes but Jenkynx just ate them. Andrews switched her game plan up and hit him with a series of quick knife edge chops.
The Sinner ate every shot that Andrews could muster so she took off for the ropes but on her return Jenkynx flattened her with a clothesline. The Sinner snarled and got Andrews up to her feet before he tossed her hard into a corner. Jenknyx looked to follow that up with a running body avalanche but Andrews slipped through the ropes and caught him with a rope hanging kick.
O’NEIL: This is what Alex needs to do. She needs to use her speed superiority to keep some distance between herself and AJ.
VALERIE: That is fairly obvious.
O’NEIL: Honestly dude fuck you.
That kick caught Jenkynx right in the chin and it actually dropped him! Andrews was quick to shoot into the ring and land on Jenknyx with a quick senton! Andrews hit a second senton and then a third for good measure! The audience in The Citadel was completely behind Andrews as she covered.
1..!
O’NEIL: That won’t do it. She is going to need to put more mustard behind her moves.
VALERIE: I do not care for mustard unless it is of very high quality.
O’NEIL: All mustard is good. Fuck you.
Jenkynx kicked out with authority and Andrews looked a little taken aback. Andrews took off for the ropes again but this time Jenkynx blasted her in the face with a big boot. Jenknyx dropped some sharp elbows onto Andrews’ collarbone as she was in a seated position and then he hoisted her up with a powerbomb and slammed her into the mat with such force that it silenced the crowd in The Citadel.
The Sinner grabbed Andrews by the hair and hit her with a beale that sent her clear across the ring. Jenknyx charged and hit her with a low big boot to the face and then hoisted her up over his shoulder. Jenknyx took two steps and tossed Andrews face first into the top turnbuckle with a lawn dart.
VALERIE: My word! The Sinner is not leaving tonight without a victory.
Andrews was in a bad way and The Citadel merely hummed. They wanted her to rally back but Jenkynx was an intimidating figure and she couldn’t seem to get the momentum back. Jenkynx got Andrews up to her feet and yelled in her face before he backed into the ropes and came charging toward her. Andrews tried to counter Jenkynx into a Samoan drop but Jenknyx was too heavy, he slipped behind her, and planted her with an inverted ddt. Jenknyx covered.

2..
..!
It was difficult for Andrews to power out but she did it. Jenkynx snarled and dropped a few quick elbows to Andrews’ face and then he ascended to the top rope. The big man took only a moment to survey the crowd before he leaped off looking for a frog splash but Andrews moved at the last second! Jenkynx tried to rally up to his feet and charge at Andrews but she hit him with an STO and immediately transitioned into a Fujiwara armbar!
VALERIE: She can not possibly hope to submit him.
O’NEIL: Maybe not but she is doing some damage!
Jenknyx quickly made it to the ropes using his power and he slipped out onto the apron. When he got up, he was doubled over and Andrews saw her opportunity, Andrews vaulted over the top rope and planted Jenknyx with an apron DDT! Jenknyx was laid out on the apron and Andrews pushed him back into the ring. Jenkynx got up to a knee but Andrews hit him with Brain Death (Step Up Axe Kick)! Andrews covered.

Winner: Alex Andrews
"Come On, Feel The Noise" by Quiet Riot cued up and The Citadel cheered for Andrews! After getting her hand raised she climbed the nearest turnbuckle and let out an enthusiastic scream of elation! That lasted but a moment because Jenknyx charged and hit her with a forearm smash to the lower back. Jenknyx set Andrews up for a Razor’s Edge but he released her when a figure charged down the ramp and slipped into the ring.
O’NEIL: Kallie Reznik! Kallie Reznik is here!
VALERIE: Is she aligned with Mr. Jenkynx?
O’NEIL: ...I doubt it.
Kallie Reznik was in the ring and she went after Jenknyx but he thought better of it and dipped out of the ring. Reznik stood guard until Jenknyx was up to the top of the ramp. Reznik then checked on Andrews, who was hurting, but seemingly alright.

The cameras returned to ringside, preparing for the main event of the evening. Unexpectedly, however, rather than the challenger’s music coming first, the audience is taken a little off guard as….
Forget not the days of old
And recall the stories told
Of the burnings and the screams
Do they ever haunt your dreams?
Inkubus Sukkubus’ “Burning Times” filled the arena, pouring from the PA speakers as the lights faded out. The audience was shrouded in darkness as candles illuminated suddenly along the walkway. The candles continued lighting up, spreading from the sides of the ramp to along the front of the stage before a blue spotlight came on across the smoke filled stage. Standing among the mist, the audience and viewers get a glimpse of Jamie Emmerson with her back to the camera, down on her knees.
There was a time when freedom died
It was an age of genocide
The Inquisition at the door
The Church of Rome in a holy war
As the lyrics continued, she rose to her feet, turning towards the camera with a stoic expression on her youthful features. Around her waist was the OATH Livewire Championship. For the longest moment, she held that expression as she looked across the sea of lighters before the tiniest of smirks played on her lips. She knelt down again, vanishing into the smoke again for but a moment before she emerged again, holding a tiny black, wooden casket in her hands.
They broke children on the wheel
In the madness of their zeal
In the shadow of their wake
The innocent burning at the stake
Children resist a return to the Burning Times
People be wise to the power of their lies
Be not fooled as those who were fooled before
Children, oh children, be free, be wild
Jamie slowly, more than leisurely strolled towards the ring; her focus was now entirely on the ring as she casually stalked closer with each step. As she reached ringside, she calmly slid the little casket box into the ring and continued her little stroll over to and up the steps. Jamie walked across the apron, making sure to wipe the soles of her boots off before she kicked her inner leg up and over the middle rope. She swung her body in under the top rope in an almost dark, seductive manner with a devilish smirk on her face. Once she was in the ring, she picked up the little casket and carried it with her to her corner. Jamie stopped about halfway between her assigned corner and the center of the ring.
She placed the casket down at her feet in her corner, before climbing to the middle turnbuckle. Jamie held the folds of her jacket open, calmly flaunting the title around her waist before reaching back to unsnap it as she stepped down to the mat. She turned, laid the belt out in front of the casket and plopped down on her butt in the corner. Without even looking, she reached through the ropes, snapping her fingers and held her hand open for a microphone. Once she had it and her music stopped, Jamie looks around, almost scowling at the audience as they waited for her to speak.
JAMIE: So...here we are. Ten days after OATH’s biggest event of the year! The night where a little girl with a dream to have her big moment inside a wrestling ring got that moment at Event Horizon II. The night where a “little witch”--
She made quotation marks with her free hand.
JAMIE: --stood toe to toe with a “terrifying beast” and came out the other side of that dark tunnel a champion. For those who haven’t been paying attention, I’ll clear things up a bit--
She reached down in front of her and snatched the Livewire Championship up off of the mat, then rolled out of the ring and started walking around the ring. In fact, she was closer to the fan barricade than the actual ring itself as she held the title up in the air.
JAMIE: Please allow me to introduce myself! I Am! The Black Metal Witch! Jamie! Emmerson! YOUR! OATH! Livewire! Champion!
The champion stopped in front of the apron, still holding the title up as the crowd rained down boos upon her. The camera panned around in front of the young woman’s beaming smile but as the boos filled the arena, her expression changed. That smile began to waver. Her lips quivered. Her bright, joy filled eyes drained and filled with something entirely different. Some might call it confusion. Others might call it anger. Regardless what word they use for it, Jamie was NOT happy! She brought the Livewire Championship down onto her shoulder and clutched onto it, almost possessively. Protectively.
JAMIE: What, you’re BOOING me?! Am I not the champion you want? Is that it? Why not?!
She raised her voice in the mic, started to pace along the barricade, almost face to face with the fans in the front row.
JAMIE: Why not?! Oh, let me guess: you’d rather be sitting here and have Minoru Tanahashi holding this belt and bragging about his “Path To Greatness”, bragging about how he “burned the witch”, and his stupid little movie references!
She brought the mic down, beginning to lose her cool as she paced the barricade. The crowd started up a “MI-NO-RU” chant. This finally set Jamie off and she climbed up onto the commentary table itself, not giving a damn that she kicked over water bottles or ended up standing on program sheets that the commentary team needed to read off of. She clutched onto her title and raised the mic up to her mouth again.
JAMIE: How about this?! FUCK Minoru and FUCK the Path To Greatness! Most of all? FUCK! YOU!
Well, if she was trying to win the approval of the audience, that certainly wasn’t going to do it. All it did was earn another wave of boos, it came crashing down on her like a tsunami. Jamie hopped down to the floor again and went back to pacing around the ring, ripping into the audience as they booed and slung insults right in her face. She just slung them right back at them.
JAMIE: I am eighteen years old! I’m barely two months into my career yet here I stand: six matches! Undefeated! Already a champion! I’m already setting records! I don’t need ANY! OF! YOU! You wouldn’t know the future of this business if it were standing right in front of you!
As she said this, she stops and turned sharply, getting RIGHT up into the face of a fan. This guy just gave a shit eating grin in the face of the tantrum-ing champion. She did a quick look down at his Black Lion t-shirt then looked right back up at him.
JAMIE: Nice shirt, mister. He’s a loser, just like you!
The crowd couldn't help but give a little “Ohhhhhhhh” as Jamie abruptly turned back and rolled into the ring where she came up to her feet and stood in the center. She appeared to calm down a bit as she looked down at her feet and laughed away from the mic before continuing.
JAMIE: Speaking of losers. Let’s talk about my opponent tonight. My lucky first challenger!
Jamie turned right towards the camera and waved...mockingly.
JAMIE: HAI GIRRRRRL!!
The crowd, despite Jamie’s jeering of the challenger, answered back “YUH GIRRRL” right before starting up a “SU-PER TI-GER” clap chant. This just seemed to irritate the young champion more but she kept her cool enough to continue on with her points.
JAMIE: Let’s be real for a second. As much as I wanna go cliche, go redundant and ask “who the hell do you think you are”, Super Tiger, I know exactly who you think you are! I know exactly where you think you belong but allow me to shed some light on things, Kitten, it ain’t in the ring with me.
More boos from the fans as Jamie returned to her corner and laid her belt out in front of the little coffin she always brings to the ring and plopped back down against the turnbuckle.
JAMIE: These people seem to think that you do. Maybe they don’t know you like I do. Maybe they’re just that damn stupid that they think cheering for the underdog seems like the way to go. You know what? If that were it, then they wouldn’t be sitting here booing me simply for telling the truth. Instead, here they sit, cheering you, but are you really an underdog, Super Tiger? No, see, I beg to differ. See, there is a fine line between underdog and loser and THAT is what you are, Super Tiger! You are, by all definitions, a loser and a failure! Somehow, though, you manage to scrape by. You manage to be handed these opportunities.
Jamie grew more relaxed where she sat. She stretched one leg out in front of her and crossed the other leg over it. Her empty hand waved idly as she talked, accentuating her points.
JAMIE: Oh, I’m familiar with your “history” in this industry. I’m familiar with how you “scraped and clawed” to reach the fame you’re at now. Super Tiger, I’ve sat back while I was still spending after school hours in a gym, preparing to step into a wrestling ring for the first time and I’ve watched you squander every opportunity that’s ever been handed to you on a silver platter because of your “connections.” You had your moment as a tag team star when you first started but you couldn’t even make that last before it came crashing down. Correct me if I’m wrong, “Tiggy” but what are Kay Tee Pee Gee up to, these days?
She tilted her head, tapping her chin as her eyes fluttered up towards the ceiling then snapped back at the camera.
JAMIE: Your tag team partner walked out on you after you cost your team one too many tag team matches, to include a set of tag team championships. So then, here you are now, flailing your way into the singles competition, not on your own merits, mind you. No, you scrape by on luck and favors. Here you are, your second match in OATH and the new head honcho of Livewire’s sitting in the back and handing you a title opportunity - the Livewire Title - MY title! I had to fight tooth and nail to earn my shot at this title, but again, here you are: luck and favors. More of which you will let go to waste because you have proven time and time again that you are not cut out for this.
The champion paused, lowering the microphone and smiled peacefully as the camera zoomed in low on her face. The smile was...so peaceful, it’s almost eerie how calm she was, despite the vile venom she was spitting.
JAMIE: I know these words probably hurt, “Tiggy.” Sometimes the truth hurts like a knife through the chest but to someone who thinks they can just walk right through the door and challenge for what, so easily, for what I fought so hard for, I will gladly plunge that blade through the heart and twist it….
The microphone was dropped through the ropes and to the floor as Jamie then pulled herself up to her feet and calmly removed her entrance jacket and rose crown, waiting for the arrival of her opponent.

OATH LIVEWIRE CHAMPIONSHIP SINGLES MATCH Super Tiger vs. Jamie Emmerson ©
The two competitors for our championship contest were in the ring. Emmerson handed off her Livewire Championship and the referee showed it to Super Tiger, who responded with a simple nod. Bouncing from one foot to the other, Super Tiger looked primed and ready for this giant championship opportunity. Emmerson on the other hand had a more subdued energy about her. The bell sounded and we were ready to -- FIGHT!
O’NEIL: Here we are, the first defence for The Black Metal Witch.
VALERIE: As I said earlier, many people thought Jamie to be the underdog at Event Horizon II but she showed everyone that she is a tsunami of success! She is the face of this brand now.
O’NEIL: Tsunami of success eh?
VALERIE: Yes May. A tsunami is--
O’NEIL: I know what a fucking tsunami is jackass.
Emmerson darted at Tiger right off the hop but Tiger took the champion down to the mat by picking her leg. Emmerson was right back up to throw a kick but Tiger caught her boot and went for a dragon screw. Emmerson broke Tiger’s grip and went for an enziguiri but Tiger ducked underneath it.
O’NEIL: Neither competitor has really landed anything yet. Their styles are very similar so they both may need to consider pulling out some moves that their opponent would not expect.
VALERIE: I personally believe that one should always attempt a Burning Hammer.
O’NEIL: Why the hell is that?
VALERIE: No one kicks out of a Burning Hammer. Ever.
The champion hit a succession of lightning fast chops that backed Tiger into the ropes. Emmerson whipped her across the ring and was quickly off to charge after her. The two met in the middle of the ring but Tiger sidestepped the champion and sent her into the ropes. Emmerson jumped and pushed off the middle rope with a springboard, turned in mid-air, and came flying at Tiger looking for a hurricanranna but Tiger rolled through.
Tiger now hit the ropes and darted toward Emmerson looking for a slingblade but Emmerson evaded it and then cracked Tiger in the jaw with a thrust kick that knocked Tiger loopy. Emmerson took a moment to catch her breath. At this point the crowd was stirring as “The Resident Asshole” Kasey Kash was shown in the crowd. Kash slowly walked through the crowd and then took a seat in the front row.
O’NEIL: Kasey Kash is here. The Resident Asshole will face whoever wins this match, next week.
VALERIE: I wonder if he had to purchase a ticket.
O’NEIL: I highly doubt that.
VALERIE: I mean, that seat is worth a decent amount of money, he should have to pay.
After the initial back and forth, Emmerson was in the driver’s seat and she looked quite pleased about it. Emmerson hit several big stomps to Tiger’s head and then grabbed her left wrist and got Tiger up to her feet. Emmerson said something inaudible to Tiger and then set the Japanese star up for Sacrifice (Ripcord Liver Shot) but on the turnaround Tiger dropped to a knee and positioned herself behind Emmerson where she was able to take the champion over with a snap German suplex!
VALERIE: Super Tiger with an excellent counter. I did not know that she was capable of such a thing.
Emmerson slipped out of the ring and pounded on the apron in frustration. Emmerson grasped at her shoulder, which she landed on roughly on that last move. Emmerson’s momentarily distracted state gave Tiger the opportunity to dart across the ring and blast Emmerson with a baseball slide kick. Tiger quickly went outside and got Emmerson back into the ring. Tiger took a moment to play to the crowd and they cheered in support.
O’NEIL: The Citadel seems to like Super Tiger!
VALERIE: I cannot imagine why. No one in a mask is to be trusted. Ever.
O’NEIL: Given the current social climate I feel like that is not true.
VALERIE: It is. My mother told me so.
The Black Metal Witch was up to her feet but Tiger surprised her with a running elbow to the face that sent Emmerson reeling backward into the corner. Emmerson caught herself but Tiger charged in with a running shotei to the face. Tiger lifted Emmerson up to be seated on the top rope. Tiger took hold of Emmerson’s leg and then took the champion off the top rope with a dragon screw! Emmerson landed with a thud and Tiger played to the audience yet again.
O’NEIL: Super Tiger is targeting that leg, which would limit a lot of Jamie’s offense.
VALERIE: I feel like it is not intentional. Tiger is just doing whatever she can. There appears to be no method.
O’NEIL: Are you blind?
VALERIE: Not legally, no.
Kash looked on from the front row and covered his mouth as if he was yawning. His eyelids were low and he seemed bored by this match. Tiger held Emmerson’s left leg and then hit a few stomps to the knee joint before she went to apply a figure four leg lock but as she turned around to hook the legs, Emmerson kicked her in the posterior and Tiger stumbled into the ropes.
Tiger looked to rebound off the ropes but when she did The Black Metal Witch blasted her with a lariat that turned her inside out. Emmerson mounted the challenger and started hitting her with vicious forearm shots to the face. Emmerson seemed to enjoy dishing out this punishment. She let Tiger sit up only for Emmerson to hit the ropes and come back with a giant shining wizard to the face of the masked wrestler. Emmerson covered.
O’NEIL: The champion is looking to retain!
1..
2..
..!
VALERIE: That seemed like three to me.
O’NEIL: Get your eyes checked.
VALERIE: Please stop bringing that up. I am sensitive.
Tiger was able to kick out and Emmerson decided to put Tiger in her place by easily dumping the challenger over the top rope to the outside -- a show of disrespect. The gall. Emmerson noticed Kash at this point, who gestured to the champion to “get on with it”. Emmerson scowled and slipped out of the ring. Rather than address Kash, Emmerson got Tiger up and attempted to whip the champion into the steel steps but Tiger reversed it and hit a slingblade on the outside that popped The Citadel!
O’NEIL: That is a move that changes the entire complexion of this contest. Jamie could be really hurt.
VALERIE: There is padding out there, I assume that she is fine.
O’NEIL: The padding is very thin.
VALERIE: That seems counterintuitive.
The challenger quickly hefted Emmerson up into the ring and wanted to end this contest. Tiger got up onto the apron and called out to her fans in The Citadel. Emmerson stood and Tiger shot into the ring with Tiger Snare (Springboard Dropkick to the Knee)! Emmerson dropped right onto her face, her left knee taking even more punishment. Tiger was quick to whip Emmerson into the corner and then she draped Emmerson’s damaged left leg over the middle rope. Tiger backed up two paces and then charged in and hit a hard kick to Emmerson’s left thigh.
O’NEIL: Jamie is in deep, deep trouble. Tiger has honed in on that left leg and these attacks are taking their toll.
The champion was in a real bad way now. She looked to come out of the corner with a high roundhouse kick with her bad leg but Tiger saw an opportunity and she seized it. Tiger caught Emmerson’s leg and took her down to the mat with another dragon screw. Not wanting to waste any time, Tiger kept hold of Emmerson’s leg and immediately applied a figure four leg lock. Emmerson scrambled to reach for the ropes and Tiger wrenched as much as she could on the damaged leg. Emmerson was able to grab the bottom rope after a few moments but the damage had been done.
Tiger was able to catch Emmerson in the face with a roundhouse kick and Emmerson fell back, draped over the middle rope, facing the crowd. Tiger saw her opportunity, called out to her fans, then charged and was able to crack the champion with There and Back Again (Tiger Feint Kick)! Emmerson was blasted back into the middle of the ring and Tiger shot the half into a cover.
O’NEIL: New champion! New champion!
1..
2..
..!
VALERIE: Not quite. She needs to work on her pinning holds.
O’NEIL: Even the best pins get kicked out of.
VALERIE: Only if they are applied incorrectly.
The champion just barely kicked out but Tiger had all of the momentum. Tiger vaulted over the top rope and a great deal of fans were on their feet. Tiger paced on the apron, waiting for Emmerson to stand. Kash looked more intrigued from the front row as the end seemed to be nigh. Emmerson got up to her feet and Tiger shot into the ring looking for a springboard attack but Emmerson took one step forward and took Tiger out of the air with an incredible Athame (Hooking Superkick from behind)! The audience popped huge for that impressive move and the champion was given a reprieve.
O’NEIL: What a shot from the champion! Who saw that coming?
VALERIE: Definitely not Super Tiger.
Tiger didn’t know what month it was after that shot and Emmerson climbed to the top rope. Kash watched on and the audience en masse were very worried for what was about to befall Tiger. Tiger was up to her feet for a split second when Emmerson came out of the corner with Thessalian Crescent (Diving Corkscrew Cutter)! Emmerson hit it perfectly and Tiger was out. Emmerson covered, while staring through the ropes at Kash in the front row.

Winner: Still OATH Livewire Champion, Jamie Emmerson
“Burning Times” by Inkubus Sukkubus cued up and The Black Metal Witch rose up to her knees. The referee handed Emmerson the championship and she ripped it out of his hands. Emmerson approached the side of the ring that was across from where Kash was sitting. Emmerson held her championship high and Kash responded by flipping her off! The audience popped for that and the final shot of Livewire 7 was a two shot of the champion standing tall in the ring and her next challenger disrespecting her from the front row.
