Hello ladies and ladies. ;) Seriously now, hello once again, if you’re here, you must be ready for Minoru’s Musings and this week is very special. We will be going over Livewire as well. Now with two shows taking place on the same night, how does that affect MOTN? Well it doesn’t. What it does do is give me the chance to acknowledge more people as I will have 2 Match of the show matches, with one of them guaranteed to be the Match Of The Night. It also means a bit of streamlining. I want people to read these and want to watch the match, not feel like they got the cliff notes version and it’s good enough, so we will focus more on the overall as opposed to getting really detailed. I mean shit guys, I am doing this out of the kindness of my heart. What do you think Oath was paying me extra to do these? You think Richard Barlow was sending me booze and hookers in exchange for talking about his company and putting even more of a spotlight on the show? Well he wasn’t. So now let’s get started with LIVEWIRE! (The show I will soon be the champion of)

LIVEWIRE MUSINGS

Astaroth Vs. Coleman Musings

Astaroth got his ass handed to him, okay? That’s what this match was. The spooky luchador taking a beating from a very impressive newcomer. She’s fit, she’s tough, she’s hot, and she kicks ass. I’m giving this one a 2.5 out of 5. It was pretty one sided, so a little lower on the scale.

Kincade Vs. Scribbles Musings

Well, there were two people in the ring and one of them did a few wrestling moves. This was quick and Scribbles might be dead. Giving it 2 stars.

Runaways Vs. UK Musings

I don’t like the Sharpe boys, I’ll get that out of the way right now. That said, they showed great teamwork and some devastating moves in this very quick match that saw their opposition almost frozen. This one gets 2.5 stars

Lapalm Vs. Shields Musings

Okay, so Shields has been a drinking buddy before and can be cool, but he’s also batfuck insane and loves hurting people, so I wasn’t surprised at what he did in this match. If you think you saw all the neckbreakers he knows, that was probably twenty percent of them. He just obliterated his opponent on the way to a 2.5 star match.

Jenkynx vs. Reznik Musings

The first really competitive match on the show and one I will be watching frequently between now and #OATH2. Jenkynx shows a few things in this match. One, he has a hard as hell to pronounce name, B, he’s surprisingly agile for a man of his size and power, 3, he has a devastating finisher that is close to mine, but not as cool. I’m giving this one 3 stars.

Mallon vs. Tyler Musings

Another fairly disappointing match from Tyler War. Cool name, crap wrestler, at least with what I’ve seen from him so far. There’s talent there, but he doesn’t seem to care and the creepy rat lady absolutely destroyed him. I was hoping for so much more from this match. Giving it 2 stars.

Marshal vs. Sharpe Musings

Here it is, the Match Of The Show. Not unexpected that this match would take the honors. Both of these ladies brought it and it was turning into a fantastic match until Baz Jacobi’s long lost brother got involved. I won’t hold the interference against Ms. Sharpe as she seemed genuinely pissed off at the involvement. You do have to wonder how this one ends without the outside interference though. Still, it was a damn good match up to that point, and I’m giving it 3.5 stars.

CONVICTION MUSINGS

Helms vs. Matsuda Musings

This was a damn good first match and I like that Matsuda is continuing to show some real aggression and fire. Helms almost looked like a champion again in this one, and he impressed me quite a bit, but in the end, his slump continues. Matsuda showed her mean streak and resilience and picked up the win in this solid 3.5 star match.

Blanco vs. Wales Musings

This was a decent match. Blanco has a little bit of talent and showed a lot of heart in this one, which he needed because his technique on nearly every submission was just terrible. Still, he’s got some power and striking and if this wasn’t a submission match, maybe it goes differently. I strongly doubt it as I feel Josie Wales outclasses him in every aspect of professional wrestling, but maybe. This night though, it was time for her to record a successful title defense in this 3 star match

ONI vs. Knights Musings

WOOOOO LION KNIGHTS WIN! LION KNIGHTS WIN! Okay, now this was my match and while I will not grade my own match, I did say I would try to find something nice to say about my opponent(s). Unfortunately this week my opponents were a piece of shit, the meth head messiah, and pisssed off wrestling grandpa. I guess I’ll give Ojima some credit, the man hits like a goddamn anvil.

Aguero Vs. Black Musings

Declan you stupid bastard. I would be more pissed about you possibly blowing your chances if it wasn’t for being in the Wildcard series and our match needing to be put on hold. Aguero showed some serious fire in this one tonight and took the fight to Black. I think he expected to breeze through this one, and while he did end up taking advantage, and looked set to win it, Aguero showed serious toughness and intelligence to take this one. You could say she stole it, but a win is a win is a win. I’m giving this one 3.5 stars.

Holland vs. Young Musings

Holy fucking shit balls did these two go to war. No question that this was Match Of The Show and Match Of The Night. These two beat the ever living hell out of each other and while they may not want to because of stress this match put on their bodies, I could watch these two fight again and again and again. This was the match I was most looking forward to and the match that I believe the winner of the whole tournament will come from. I had high expectations and these two delivered in a big way. Major props to both of them in this nearly perfect match. This one is getting 4.5 stars and a standing ovation from me.

Terror vs. Edwards Musings Another great singles performance from the former tag team champion, and another incredible defense from the Intrepid champion. This was damn close to being the MOTN as both men went out there and delivered. Terror really controlled this match and looked close to his first singles title several times. This whole show was great, but if you can only watch a little, watch this and the match before it as they are exactly what Oath is all about. I’m giving this one 4 stars and pushing for Terror to get another shot at the Intrepid title.
